We enjoyed a lovely meal at Cafe Bon Bon and the staff were extremely friendly. However, there was some problem in the kitchen which meant a long wait for the mail course. We were staying on site and the service at breakfast was superb.

Wonderful surroundings and fabulous food for breakfast. Service was poor and definitely not with a smile. Given the wrong coffee and had to ask for a bowl to put my fruit in at the buffet. Maybe we caught the staff on a bad day, I would certainly go back as the food was excellent. The biggest chicken Ive ever seen... More

First lunch we had here, we were surprised about the quality of the food, the whole garden but especially the amazing service. We had avocado salad, squid salad and for the mains beef filet, fish and mushroom risotto. The high quality of food and the amazing taste, is easily comparable with fine dining cuisine. We visited over 25 fine dining... More

The setting of the restaurant overlooks a vineyard. It is a rather big establishment, subdivided into cozy sections. Food is original, well presented, and quite good. Dessert portion is too big-- best to share. Restaurant is rather busy and reservation is essential.

We had dinner at Cafe BonBon a week ago, dining with friends from the UK. From start to finish, the whole evening was sublime. The service was unobtrusive and professionally efficient. Arthur and his staff are to be complimented. The food was beautifully presented, and an ooops with an order was speedily and smoothly corrected. We all enjoyed our meal... More

This place was so good I'm nervous to tell anyone about it for fear we might not get in next time! We called into Cafe Bon Bon (la petite dauphine estate) between wine tasting appointments on the off chance they might squeeze us in for lunch, and they did! The service, food and wine could not have been better. We... More

We have been visiting Franschoek for many years and always enjoy Café BonBon. We arrived from London am 27th January and felt like a calm relaxing lunch preferably outdoors in good surroundings with friendly service and good food - our natural first choice is always CBB. Once again we were not disappointed. Although the weather was "iffy" our outdoor lunch... More

We first ate at Cafe Bon Bon a couple of years ago and it was a meal that we remembered well. We returned today for lunch and it was spectacular from start to finish. The setting here is wonderful if you have lunch on the terrace. The staff are very attentive and Arthur, the Manager, is extremely professional and works... More

Have been going to this restaurant for meals for many years, it changes little, a good menu, even lighter choices for lunch, and their wines are good. Outside on the terrace when the weather is good, and room inside for when it is not. Dinner only Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, but breakfast and lunch every day. A very good choice... More
