Such a beautiful location. The views from this wine farm and really amazing, which really makes the visit worthwhile. Then of course you get to take the most epic photos! Wine obviously was fabulous! Just be prepared for a busy place with loads of tourists!

Menu, taste, wine, service is all in the best order here. And hopefully it was merely an extremely quiet evening we visited, but it felt like everybody else forgot to come to the party. You cannot fault the restaurant I guess, they did their very...More

Good food. Very good wine from their winery. Venue is unusual - no windows, it feels like the inside of a castle.

This is the alternative to the fine dining restaurant in the wine tasting room. while the food was good , it could hardly be called tapas as the portions were large and the plates were fixed, one could not select plates to suit ones appetite

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had the shank and for dessert ended up having the Panacotta. Delicious food, great ambience

We'd heard great things about this restaurant, but it was mediocre at best. The staff was great, but the food was very so-so.

Situated at the head of the Franschhoek Valley at the base of the Franschhoek Pass R45. This vineyard is worth a visit for the stunning valley vistas. Settle down out on the terrace and savour the beautifully cooked and presented foods and superior wines to...More

The Marraige of food and wine... Don't waste money. The setting amazing, the pairing of food with wine, incipit. Rather go to Clos Malverne or La Colombé. Seriously disappointed. A dream that was better dreaming about, than experiencing.

The food and wine is always good here. The cave like restaurant is very popular and well worth a visit. The chef and team do a really good job and the food is always exciting, tasty and well presented.

Stunning views for a good tasting. Gets busy so finding a spot might be difficult. Apparently the food is wow but we did not have any.

Hello, apologies for the huge delay! We have a menu for kids, we ask that they are well-behaved! Lunches are better suited, but we also cater in the evening food-wise.

Hello, We say as long as guests are comfortable, that is what counts. Lunch is very relaxed, dinner feel free to dress up a little- we say smart casual, but all we want is for guests to feel comfortable!

Description
Franschhoek's iconic Haute Cabriere Restaurant is well known for its unique location, set into the side of Franschhoek Mountain and overlooking the Valley. Soaring arches and the view over the cathedral-like Pinot Noir Barrel Maturation Cellar below offer an experience which is not to be missed. On sunny days, guests can enjoy the beautiful vistas over Franschhoek from the terrace, while on cool days a roaring fire creates a cosy atmosphere. The menu revolves around classic technique with bold flavours with chefs Nic van Wyk and Westley Muller in the kitchen. The restaurant offers an a la carte as well as 6 course tasting menu.
