In an area that is surprisingly light on good Italian food, Positano at least approaches an acceptable Italian - type dining experience. I must admit, coming from an authentic Italian Family, it is difficult to impress us so I may be being too hard on this place. It is a gem among stones in Wayne when it comes to Italian... More

The staff didn't communicate very well and the food was very cheap quality. I don't think there was actually any real meat in my lasagna....

Enjoyed a very good dinner at this BYOB restaurant. Fried calamari and Prince Edward Island Mussels fra diavolo appetizers were both delicious. While the salad was the run-of-the mill disappointment you so often encounter, our dinners were all good. My salmon special was nicely prepared. My husband, a very picky eater, loved his chicken parmesan sandwich, and the other couples... More

Went last night to Positano's with a friend. I ordered a pasta dish off the menu she ordered a special. Both of us are teachers so we can read but.... When the bill came we were shocked that she was charged $6.00 for soup because on the special menu it said Soup (no price listed) Appetizers (prices listed) and Entrees... More

Back in NJ visiting family - asked our hotel for a good local Italian restaurant. They recommended Positano which we loved! Arrived about 8:30PM during the week and still had many customers. It seems like a place locals visit which is always a good sign - even ran into someone we knew from years ago there. Service was wonderful, owners... More

Positano is one of my favorite restaurants. We live nearby and it is our "go to" place for take out. I've enjoyed lunch, dinner, take out and catering from Positano. While they serve traditional Italian staples, they also have a very imaginative special's menu - it is the only restaurant my husband will order veal. My favorite dish is the... More

Much more than a pizza place. Be prepared to wait 15 to 20 minutes, worth the wait. Veal Positano is a favorite of mine. The garlic knots are terrific.

We enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner in a fun family restaurant. We waited @ 10 minutes to be seated at height of Friday night rush but the time went quickly since the hosts were fun and entertaining! The wait servers were attentive and everything from appetizers, main course to dessert tasted wonderful. We will definitely return next time we visit... More
