Whether for a Holiday Celebration or just a great meal and a cocktail, the Black Forest Inn is a great place. The decor is charming, the service excellent and the food is outstanding.

Authentic German food--rare to find this anywhere, even in NYC; wonderful draft beers; sauerbraten was not as good as "mama used to make", but the spaetzle and red cabbage were. Service is a bit inconsistent but uniformly trying to please.

We have never been disappointed from the service to the food. We find it to be family friendly. The same staff has been consistent for years. Love the German music and the brews.

The food is always consistently delicious. The maultaschen, something not usually on German restaurant menus, is a must as an appetizer or entree. The early bird prix fixe offering is a wonderful bargain. The atmosphere is warm and not noisy. Service is attentive. My wife,...More

The extensive menu made it difficult to decide what to eat! Started with the pretzel that took the hunger pains away. Then the soup really hit the spot. The meals were delicious and just enough to leave room for dessert. The dark chocolate item was...More

They do not have a children's menu. But some of the appetizers like Maultaschen will work or share some of your Spaetzle etc with them it always worked for my children and granchildren.
