The famous garlic crabs are the restaurants specialty!!! They have dining on one side and a bar on the other, we usually choose the dining side. Great fresh seafood and lots of beers on tap!

They have really good bands here. The food is mediocre - so I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner. We sat outside, the place was mobbed, the bugs were enjoying us more than we enjoyed the food. I got a salad and it was overloaded with sliced black olives - drowning in bottled dressing. We have come here on other... More

This was my first time at Bum Rogers. After years of passing it on my way into Island Beach State Park an offseason night seemed like the perfect time to try it out. There is a bar side and a restaurant side. The bar looked lively and everyone was having a good time. The restaurant has that classic old salty... More

Went 2 years ago and gave it 4 stars, and that was the busy season. Went 12/31, and half the place full, and service was slow. Food was average, and overpriced. Will still go back because I have gone here a dozen times over the years, and the place is a classic, just a bad visit this time.

Stopped in there for dinner at the end of November. I sat at the bar and was given a drink and water in a matter of minutes, but it was all downhill from there. Waitress/bartender was VERY busy chatting with her friends. Finally, about 15 minutes later, another bartender showed up and was kind enough to give me a menu.... More

Phil, I just fully read you review. I'm sorry about your experience and I will speak to the bartender as they are not trained that way. As far as the rest of your review, how can you base an objective and intelligent review based on bar guests comments. If you had ordered a dinner, you would have found the quality... More

Very busy place usually a waiting list. We went on a Saturday night around 5 and got in within 20 minutes. The waitress was very busy but she kept up with our drink orders etc. it was 4 adults 2 children age 5. I feel my meal was not exactly a wow factor. We had gone there a few years... More

First time I was there for the Mon-Fri happy hour. A plethora of selections and adult beverages are special priced. We had garlic shrimp and a delightful hamburger (lettuce, tomato, onion pickle and cheese) for only $6.99 each and a shrimp creole off the regular dinner menu. Fun place with prompt service, good food and excellent prices. My new go-to... More
