PJ's is a small place so expect to wait especially on weekends. Whether this or any restaurant is worth the wait is a matter of opinion. I choose not to wait. So the six of us had lunch at PJ's during the week; only a 5 minute wait (even though the table we sat at was empty when we arrived).... More

Went on a very chilly Saturday afternoon. Two adults and three children. Food was average. Service was less than attentive but yet not rude, waiter just seemed to have other things on his mind. Problem was the closeness of the space. If you have crowd issues or any sort of claustrophobia issues, do not eat here. We were seated in... More

We used to live in the area in the 70's and 80's, so going to PJ's for breakfast is a trip down memory lane. Good basic breakfast food and the pancakes always more than we can eat.The owners have preserved the interior as we remember, the tables with the etched in names and comments. Glad it is still there.

This place was very disappointing from the start with the one hour waiting in line. The waiter had to be told to get are food which sat there for 10 minutes. Then the waiter gave us are food and we didn't receive my omelette and my daughter did not get her eggs which took another five minutes to get there.... More

We stumbled upon this gem of a spot while walking around Princeton University. There was a long line outside -- which can only mean the food is GREAT! There's no need to walk in and put your name in, just stand in line. They let you in once a group has left and the line moves pretty well for the... More

I believe they serve breakfast all day. Extensive menu, ample portions, delicious food. Room was packed with wait line out onto the sidewalk. They have outdoor seating in the nicer weather.

PJ's is a Princeton institution, especially for breakfast and especially for pancakes. Last time I went I had eggs benedicite for breakfast. They were beautiful and good-tasting. The coffee is excellent. Everything is served nice and hot. The ambiance is special and vibrant although not too noisy. In good weather, you can sit outdoors. Great place for visitors, students and... More

This is a variable place for breakfast. Kids will love the variety to the pancakes. The usual breakfast is to wait for since it is crowded for Sunday brunch.

Princeton has long been in need of a truly great breakfast place, and PJ's is still not quite it. Yes, it's a tradition, but the standards are just not quite where I want them to be. Quality can be uneven; service is often erratic (or even surly); and I would forgive this if the prices weren't on the high side.... More
