Good fresh brewed craft beer, historic furnishings and building, good, reasonably priced food and a nice staff.

Our party of five visited The Ship Inn, wishing to see what new management has brought to the establishment. The fish 'n' chips was some of the best I've eaten. Being British, that is a glowing endorsement! The best bitter was fabulous and took me...More
The Ship Inn is where it all started in New Jersey. After some hard-fought battles with local and state entities, they were granted the first brew pub license in the state. Ah, those early, halcyon days with a huge beer menu of their own brew,...More
Here's the thing about a Brew Pub- the servers need to know their beers- when someone asks for a light beer the server should be trained and tasted the beer to be able to give good information. The same for someone who asks for a...More

The Ship Inn is under new management since August 2017. The food is very good, but the portions very small for what you pay. The beer is good, but there is a GIMMICK...in order to select from a soon to be expansive craft beer menu...More
Their own brewed beer is excellent and reasonably priced. Pulled pork sliders were tasty and not drowning in sauce, shoestring fries were crispy. Server was attentive and personable.
