Different, but very good takes on many recipes! Loved the pasta and eggplant... great cheeses and wines! Always had a nice time when friends and I dined! Great salad greens too!

We were looking for a local restaurant to go to during restaurant week and we were fortunate to come across GP's. The food and service was very good. The meatball appetizer and the mussels were very good. We were very pleased with the selections of entrees from chicken to seafood. The wine prices were reasonable and the service was excellent.... Have tried GP's a few times. Consistently friendly and decent service but the food is predicable and stolid. We had veal and chicken. Both were over cooked, bland and the accompanying pasta tasteless with tomato sauce that felt straight out of the can. Disappointing especially as charging high end prices. Advice would be to change up the chef as it... More

The dining experience was great and the food was out of bounds. If you're craving that down home Italian food, this is the place to go.

I would like to visit GP'S more often but their prices are high for Jersey City. The food is good although they changed the sausage in one of their pasta dishes that took it from one of my favorites to my least. Outside seating was nice but now you're in the middle of yet another Silverman project. Noise and dust... More

My wife and i have been here a few times since we moved closer to Hamilton Park. The food is tasty and well prepared, with dependable, professional service and a good wine and beer menu. We haven't yet hung out at the bar, but are planning to do so soon. we like the look and feel of the place as... More

I felt like a VIP from the moment I walked in. The Staff is so warm, and the food is fabulous! My boy friend had the chicken parm, and I have to say, it was one of the best parm's I've ever had! I had the special Pork chop, the portions we're huge and it was super tasty! The outdoor... More

I own a brownstone right on Hamilton Park, noticed there was a restaurant there, but never thought about trying it until I read the reviews on TripAdvisor ! We had drinks and light fare, sat outside, and enjoyed every minute & morsel of it ! We recommend the eggplant caponata, the crostini (4 big ones !), & the kale/apple/cranberry salad.

The evening started with the most perfect dirty martini...made by a hot bartender! I've only been twice..I live in Ohio but I've always had wonderful good and a wonderful time! Apps were beets and host cheese, burrata cheese with peppers...very yummy. Followed by 2 bottles of wine and great pasta. They also offer gluten free pasta. Cozy little gem and... More

I love the beet and goat cheese salad. The balsamic vinegar is quality. The drinks are tasty with good quantity of booz. Bar area is casual with frequent goers striking up conversations with each other. In the summer the outdoor sitting place is relaxed. The main dishes are consistent and you can order without worrying whether they do a particular... More

Well, this is spectacular. I'm so happy to hear the balsamic vinegar really hit the spot, and you loved that beet and goat cheese salad. It sounds like you've tried a lot of the menu, too, so we really hope to have you back to explore all the other options. See you soon! Best, George P More
