Best burger place on the planet.

To that person who complained about the service... Get real. This is the absolute BEST burger place on the planet. I've coming here for 45 years and the food has been superb. I never cared how good or bad the service was... That's not what you come here for. By the way, they touch the food with their bare hands. Don't come back... I'll be back though, they can treat me my caucasian buttox like toilet paper and I'd still come back. If you want a friendly restaurant, go to a place where the customer is always right. White Diamond FOREVER!

The food is so good. Takes about 10 minutes to make. The food they have is just unbeatable, they have the best burgers in Clark. The fries are always amazing and the unquie way they use poppy seed rolls. The inside of the place is so mezomorzing. It is so classic

Now we were out early this morning to pick up a piece of furniture that someone was selling in Scotch Plains. Decided to get some breakfast before returning home and stopped by this place. BIG MISTAKE!!! Now to all my Caucasian friends I love you and respect you but this is something you may or may not understand. We sat down at the counter in front of the waitress, we were waiting for her to remove the dishes from a previous customer so we could place our order. Remember we sat at the counter right in front of her where she was distributing orders. AND we were the only people of color in the place and it was pretty full. A couple came in about 10-15 minutes after we did and it was obvious they were regular customers, greetings exchanged, the whole bit. We waited and the waitress went to get the dish rag to clean tables. But lo and behold she went to the couple after us first to clean their table. She did acknowledge our presence when we first sat down but um I don’t think you could miss us. I’m already feeling some type of way on this anniversary date and Tara had to take my hand and lead me outside. I tried to give folks the benefit of doubt but I had that feeling when we sat down we weren’t gonna be there long. The looks, the stares, you thought we we from another world. This is why we as a state, country, nation and worldwide are suffering when it comes to race and race relations. No apologies, no wait a minute I’ll take care of that right away. They were glad to see us leave and I’m glad to take my business elsewhere. My money is green too!!! Mom would be proud it was Geoffrey Toussaint Burbage from the Presidential Heights section of East Orange and not Jeffrey from Illtown. I walked out emphatically stating “have a nice day”! In the past i would’ve cussed those MF’s out, everyone of them. We all know what this was about but if you don’t then I have nothing further to say to you. Hope they don’t depend on yelp, bbb, TripAdvisor etc cause they bout to get it!!!And it won’t be pretty

Cheeseburger cheeseburger

In the mood for a burger and saw this joint the last time I was passing through the area. It’s a throw back to the old style diner/ burger spot. I ordered up the chili cheese crinkle fries the double bacon cheeseburger with pickles and a root beer. The food is cooked right in front of you and I decided to eat at the counter for the entire experience. The fries were super crispy golden with a slightly spicy chili. The burger was served on a poppy seeded roll which was heated on the grill and just made the burger that much more tastier. I will be heading back to try the cheese steak and of course another burger

Kinda becoming obsessed with the burgers

Boyfriend finally took me here on a visit- he wasn’t sure I would like it. I loved it! First time we got double cheeseburgers this time we got single burgers. Not sure which I liked better. Love the crinkle fries. I need to try the breakfast.

Reasonably Priced Very Good Burgers!

On our way back to Philadelphia, stopped here to try their food. Ordered the Cheeseburger Special for $7.50. So I got a very good seasoned cheeseburger, freshly fried and non-greasy order of onion rings and coffee. Wife ordered a western omelette with home fries and toast. This place reminded me of the Top Hat Diner in Newark NJ from years ago. Clean,good reasonably priced food and friendly staff. I recommend.

Great Food 24/7

This place is an Icon of Clark; everyone flocks there now and again: teens come in groups; adults bring their significant others and/or kids; I myself once brought a cousin visiting from Europe (she really liked it!) The atmosphere is reminiscent of the 50's Burger Joints, with red-vinyl swivel seats at the counters and in the three booths; retro signs on the walls showing advertising of food, automobiles, and other things; the white walls - all these things bring a nostalgic feeling to those of us old enough to remember, and offer an unusually quaint experience for those who are not. The food is great. the Burgers, served on soft rolls, are tasty, and enhanced by the pickles offered (which you can choose not to place on your burger); they serve my favorite breakfast sandwich at any time: Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on a roll. Last night, my nephew and I, returning from a gathering of friends, stopped there around 3 AM, and we each enjoyed that sandwich (I prefer mayonnaise on mine, though most people - like my nephew - go with ketchup). DELICIOUS! We also tried their mozzarella sticks; while some eateries give you too-chewy or too-breaded sticks, these were damn good quality ones.

Good for hangover food

This is a good old fashioned burger joint. They cook it up on the grill right away. Nothing spectacular. I had high hopes for the onion rings and grilled cheese, but both disappointed. Stick with the burgers.

Hidden gem! Open 24 hrs

True hidden gem for those seeking the 70-80's diner experience. The place may look like it needs loads of TLC, but the food and pricing were really good! Came here for a late night dinner option - they are open 24 hrs. Definitely plan on trying this place out for breakfast. It's sort of a triple d's joint. YES the cash only was the only drawback to this joint.

Hurry, a 20th Century Gem

My doctor’s office is just two doors down from White Diamond. I was hungry after my visit today, and could have easily gone to Molly Maguire’s just immediately next door for a late lunch. But for some reason I was drawn to the White Diamond, which I walked past twice debating the situation. While pacing around I read a lot of reviews about White Diamond. It seemed to me negative reviews judged White Diamond out if context. Especially the “cash only” complaints, which to me are nonsense. What I discovered was a real 20th century diner - complete with expert short-order cooks who serve their unique sliders, with “grunnions” and paper thin pickle slices. They serve nostalgically generous portions of too-hot-to-hold crinkle fries. And they serve an essential array of soft drinks. What they don’t serve is pretense. Anyone can walk through either door, order, and be served what is on the menu, a-la-minute! Period. I had never heard of “White Diamond(s)” before, but I can truly say this White Diamond in Clark belongs in the Smithsonian; and not as some 20th century relic, but as a timeless culinary icon. No joke. It’s that real.

Nice food but took so much time

First time here . Love their food. It took a long time for my order to come.. had to go and tell them 2-3 times before they finally gave it. But it's worth the wait. Loved the food. Cheap too. Value for bucks.
