we were pleasantly surprised with our visit to the Rusty Nail. We had the Fish Tacos, Crab Sandwich and Rusty Nail Fries. Restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again. On a cool evening, we enjoyed the fire pit. we enjoyed the singer who sounded much like Jewel. very talented.

We started out going to another restaurant in Cape May for a nice seafood dinner and walked out when we saw the prices. After a quick check of local alternatives, we decided to try The Rusty Nail. It was definitely a good call. Our waitress, who was clearly on her first or second day of training was very pleasant and... More

My husband and I came here looking for a casual bite to eat on a rainy May day. We had dinner inside, since it was quite cool outside. The atmosphere looks like it would be awesome on a summer day, so you may want to wait until it's warmer to come here. They had the doors open and it was... More

Even though their web site mentioned that they are open. We could not eat there because they aren't open until May 12. We were in Cape May from May 4-6th

The food is terrific but service can be suspect. There have been at least 2 time when we nearly left without receiving our food. 4 years ago on our first trip this wasn't a problem. The last 2 years (2015 and 2016) we have had repeated issues. We stay at the Beach Shack (on the same property) so it is... More

Every Rusty Nail employee I have encountered was very polite and knowledgeable about the town. Gave me great tips on other places to eat and activities to do. The food was great as well. We were in a large group, so there was a lot of different options I was able to choose from. I was NOT disappointing. Hope to... More

This place is friendly, comfortable, and has a perfect location right across the street from the beach. Here, you'll always friendly conversations, a relaxing environment, consistent food and drinks, and a nice ocean breeze.

We went here for dinner since it was pet friendly and we brought along our pooch for our little getaway. The food was kinda pricey and very average, if not poor. They brought us a dog dish and water for our dog, and the water was visibly yellow. I wouldn't return.

We came to Rusty Nail a couple of times during our mini vacation in September. The food is only okay, but the atmosphere here is great. There's live entertainment on the patio and the place is kid friendly. Great place to have a drink and not get frowned upon for bringing your kid along. My son danced to the music... More

"The Nail," as it's known by the locals, is the famed iconic surfer bar and restaurant that made a name for itself in the '70s. And it's right here at the Beach Shack, just steps away from your room. From lifeguards and surfers to beautiful beach bunnies, they all gathered around the wood bar that was rumored to be the longest in all of Cape May. Now it's your turn to join in the fun for breakfast, lunch, dinner or its famed happy hour. Kids' meals are served on a souvenir Beach Shack Frisbee, giving you a fun after-dinner activity. Indoor spaces spill into outdoor seating, sand bar, fire pit and shuffleboard. Young, old and even four-legged friends are invited in from the beach for live entertainment and Rusty Nail's beach blanket comfort food that can also be wrapped to go.
