Food was good but not as good as I remember from a couple of years ago. Got the eggs Benedict here which doesn't hold a candle to Aleathea's around the corner. Friend had a tasty but pretty forgettable French toast. If you sit outside on the porch be prepared to be given the hairy eyeball by the dozens of hungry... More

This has always been great for brunch. Pancakes, fruit and chese plates, etc. It even has a gluten free menu. In the "old days" the dinners were mediocre, but now they are fine. They don't compete with the many five star restaurants in Cape May, but the dinners are more than OK.

Ate breakfast there since you get a voucher from hotel on the same property You get a voucher for $30 which is adequate for breakfast for two. My omelette was good. Essentially it was a good place to have breakfast.. however the coffee was mediocre.

I went to the mad batter last week . Luckily I booked , there was a huge que outside when I arrived . The staff were friendly and I was served quite quickly . The food was nice but nothing amazing and I certainly wouldn't be queuing just for something decent . I will return again as long I book... More

This place is a gem in Cape May. Every time we visit this is the only place we eat and never disapointed. Food and service are top notch. This is not a typical restaurant and every time we like to try something new. This is by far one of the best places to eat in town! You should also try... More

The Mad Batter is a Cape May staple. We had breakfast over the Labor Day Weekend. Charming atmosphere, very good food, delightful waitress. However, when we arrived the hostess had the warmth and charm of Vlad the Impaler. If I were to go again, and saw that she was on duty, I would likely just leave. It really set the... More

Known for their breakfast. Worth waiting an hour? Not so sure. Yes, the eggs were good. The bloody mary good. Still not so sure about waiting an hour for breakfast when the beach is calling.

Our server was unable to handle our large party. She was annoyed when the five kids at the table did not stop talking when she Said hello. It was down hill from there. We had three people with dietary issues and was flustered by it rather than kind. At one point when taking our drink order a kid at the... More
