The "Blue Pig" Restaurant has a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The food is advertised as "Farm Fresh", and is of very high quality. All of my servers went completely out of their way to honor my "Special Dietary Requests". I was totally satisfied with the entire "Dining Experience" at the "Blue Pig" Restaurant. The one suggestion that can be... More

Our dinner table was by the cozy fireplace. There was a chill in the air... the evening temperature dropped to 50's. So it was nice and warm seated by the fireplace; very cozy like being home...I had the comfort dish of Spaghetti Bolognese. Others were the house burger, and meatloaf, all good comforting food. Our waiter, he was friendly &... More

Dinner & breakfast - dinner items were very good - breakfast selections varied and the two we choose really good - in both cases unique Not sure why 4 not 5 stars - maybe 4.5 It struck me that all the waiters (order takers & communicators) were Caucasian and the water & food deliverers were darker skinned people - even... The Blue Pig Tavern's reputation is as big as the Congress Hall Hotel, where it is located. ~Décor: Cozy Colonial with a hint of Shabby Chic (the red chairs looked like they came from a garage sale) ~Menu: Over-priced ~Entrees: Small but exceptionally good ~Service: Excellent I ordered the Scallop special. Five scallops arranged in a circle, each topped with... More

Something for everyone! Indoor or outdoor, or the sunlit porch for something in between. Warm, friendly staff, and great assortment to choose from for breakfast. Highly recommend the salmon platter! Fruit sides are also fresh and delicious. My daughter had the pancakes and raved about how fluffy and light they were. Another home run for Cape May eateries!

Broken tables and chairs wobbly, very uncomfortable. No piped in music, nothing to justify these prices even if the food is good.

We checked in to the hotel in the late afternoon and went to the restaurant for a late lunch. It was very quiet so service was average, but the food was really good. I had a beet and goat cheese salad with grilled chicken that was delicious. My husband really enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries. He said even the coffee... More

Had a table of 11, and one waiter, and he was right on...didn't miss a beat, and friendly and attentive to know end. As for the food...their bread is delish, the shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs good, and the jambalaya really good.

We had two great dinners at Blue Pig Tavern. Too full to eat dessert the first night so went back again to eat less and try one of their desserts. Everything was great both nights.

Description
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
