We try to visit Cape May at least one time per year. We also make one of our dinner out stops to be the Lobster House. My wife had scallops and I had shrimp. Both were very good, and our waitress was good. We will come back again next year

More accustomed to delicious lobster roll in New England. My bad! The lobster was shredded and drowning in mayonnaise. Came with too salty spiced fries.

We decided to stop and get lunch on our way to the boardwalk. The barmaid suggested we try as the weather was nice. We chose to order from the takeout menu. This saved a lot of time without giving up anything on the meal. Lobsters were great as were the shrimp and scallops. This place is a must see place.... More

Cape may was quiet, the season not happing yet...but everyone in the place was at the Lobster House. fabulous atmosphere, Huge restaurant, along the docks, so boats and birds. Also casual dining outside. something for everyone. Exceptionally well staffed, no waiting for anything. had a huge serving of chillean Sea bass topped with crabmeat. Can't wait to go back.

So let me just say, the staff were amazing at the bar and at the table. They took their time to explain food and make recommendations when asked. However, the prices were ridiculous for the quality of the food. I had the lobster/seafood platter, which included shrimp, lobster tails and scallops in a buttery cream sauce with linguini. It was... We visited Cape May and were happy we visited the Lobster House! The staff was appropriately professional and friendly; the service was excellent; and the food tops. The only thing we didn't really care for was the garlic bread (heavy, heavy garlic). The bread itself was tasty, but the topping was way too much for us. But we definitely enjoyed... More

The Lobster House has always been popular because of the consistent high quality of the seafood. Traffic slows off of the bridge into Cape May because so many cars are turning into the lot. I know that weekend lunch and dinner times equal long waits, so I try to go at off hours and order take out. The lobster salad... More

We have always loved eating at the Lobster House, the food is wonderful, the service exceptional, and the portions are huge. We had no wait time, were seated promptly and courteously. Their steaks are fork tender and the sides are equally as good. I am not a sea food lover, but my daughter in law had the crab imperial and... More

The Lobster House is a wonderful harborfront seafood restaurant with a full bar, outside seating , fish market, and a cozy coffee shop. It offers take out and the seafood here is amazing. You can go casual and watch the fishing fleet. There is also a sailing vessel moored dockside where you can eat.

Working fishing boats tie up alongside this fine harborside restaurant, and that's how fresh the fish is that you'll be served. I first ate here 47 years ago, and loved it. I was back last week, and it was at least as good. The dining rooms are classic but not formal, the menu is classic, the preparation solid, the service... More
