This is one of our favorite local restaurants. Great food and excellent, well-choreographed staff. One thing I particularly like is that they try to accommodate whatever your preferences or dietary needs might be. They have quite a few "full or half-size" options for entrees. I do NOT find it noisy, as another reviewer has stated - that is something that... More

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for many years. We are never disappointed. Service is excellent. Several of the waitstaff have been with the restaurant for years. Atmosphere is very cozy with a working fireplace during the colder months. The entire menu is excellent however I suggest taking a hard look at their daily specials as... More

Four of us dined at Paul's last night. Hadn't been there in a while. Boy were we missing something special! Our waiter was friendly and gracious as we were served some wonderful fresh bread and then right after, our ordered cocktails. As our waiter was serving another table he gave us a preview of the halibut special! Three of us... More

I love this restaurant! Whether you're enjoying your meal downstairs in front of the fireplace on a cold night or are sipping a cocktail looking out at the ocean from the bar upstairs, this place never disappoints. The food is fabulous with a creative twist on some New England classics. The staff is always attentive and warm. This is the... More

We have not been to the Carriage house for some time, and chose it for a quiet mid winter dinner. The upstairs bar is small, but cozy, and we squeezed into the last two available seats. The bartender, a twenty something woman, was friendly and very attentive, quickly providing our drinks and presenting the menus. We both chose beef, and... More

My wife and I have come here many times over the last few years. You can't beat this place for ambiance (request a fireside in the winter months), food and service. Every once in awhile they have a chateaubriand special and we always take advantage of it. A fabulous meal with soup, salad and chateaubriand for two for $60.00.. This... More

Really great fine cuisine, good wine, good meal! Services absolutely fantastic! And the fish was indescriptible, old house fashion!
