Fun experience, we sat in the window area and could see everything going on by the street and also in the bar area. Try a flight - for only $6 you get 6 little beers which is a great way to sample all their brews....More

I love this restaurant, and unfortunately don't get over there often enough. I used to enjoy their many choices of vegetarian/vegan food....they still have some choices left, but because there were so many before, I knocked off a star. This is one of my favorite...More

Came here just for drinks at the bar. Greg, the bartender was super nice and congenial. I had the dirty blonde ale which was refreshing on a hot summer day. He restaurant itself looks cozy and the foods looked appetizing. A definite stop while in...More

This is the downtown Brewpub for Smuttynose brewing, so you can expect to see a tap list full of their various offerings. They are a very good craft brewer, not too far out there with their styles. Food-wise, I had a burger which was excellent....More

Portsmouth Brewery has great drinks, including a surprisingly good liquor selection. The late-night bar snack menu is fantastic; arancini and giant soft pretzels are always spot-on options for us. We highly recommend stopping in for a beer and a snack!

I am not a vegetarian but I have been trying to find good veggie burgers and I'm often so disappointed with the hard patty but not at the brewery!!! The burger was softer consistency and flavorful and the grilled pineapple and pickled jalapeño was delicious!...More

6-8 local beers on tap for the adults, the same number of options on the kids menu. Black Bean & Quinoa burger & Mediterranean Pasta were delicious. 12 yo loved the pizza but it was the same French bread as the garlic bread. Desserts sounded...More

Welcome to New Hampshire's original brewpub, a landmark in downtown Portsmouth's thriving restaurant scene since 1991. Our wide-ranging menu is complemented by a selection of our own unique, hand-crafted beers, as well as selected guest beers, including hard-to-find selections from our sister company, Smuttynose Brewing Co. Come for the beer. Stay for the food. We serve all types!
