Being a fan of basic cheese and tomato sauce pizza, I LOVE this place! The pizza is almost as good as Ernesto's in Boston's North End, and that's saying a lot. The place is small, with a few tables and counter seats, but it's good for take-out or a quick lunch while walking throughout the city. It's only open for... More

Best authentic pizza around. I love Panzanella’s as well in Newmarket. But if you’re looking for authentic pizza, the owners are Italian and legitimately know how to make a pie: crust, sauce, cheese, mushrooms that aren’t from the can, etc… . I’ve heard so many claims of “authentic”, or simply labeling something as “NY style” (and I’ve lived in NY... More

Limited hours, lunch and 5-8 PM, but well worth the trip. Great pizza. Called in from another location and went over and picked up. Cash only, but owned by a lovely older couple.

Small and narrow with very limited hours and a menu, be sure to drop in if your looking for a good pizza experience with fresh ingredients. It's a step back in time.

Tried this spot while on vacation in Portsmouth. I prefer to deal with/experience locally owned businesses. This pizza place is the epitome of that philosophy. "Pop" hand makes every pie with top quality ingredients, and we hung out with "Mom" talking family, restaurant business, etc. while it was baking. We were pleasantly surprised with this delicious, thick crust pizza. Homemade... More

The pizza at Savario's is always tasty and consistent and we love the character of the owners. Sometimes they just aren't open because it's too hot!

Have gone on several occasions, we are always happy to go back. Pizza prices are good, flavors are great. She prefers the White while I like the Pesto. The kids liked just about every different flavor combination.

The hours are 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for lunch and 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm for dinner. The owner and his wife make the calzones and pizza from scratch. This place has been one of the best local places in town for many years. Where else can you still get 2 slices of pizza and a soda for $5.00... More

We stopped in for a quick lunch on a rainy day. Owner was friendly and explained what slices & calzones he had. Pizza was warmed up for us and very tasty. The best we've had in the US for a long while. Thin crust, tasty toppings. Great for a quick stop. You can get slices boxed or eat at the... More

An even five bucks gets you a delicious calzone, a frosty cold beverage, and a side of sauce. Contrary to a few other reviews, I’ve always found Frank (the owner) to be both friendly and accommodating. I’ve sampled the sausage, broccoli, black olive, and pepperoni calzones and have found them all to be quite good. My only nitpick would be... More
