This was my first visit to Portsmouth with family. I decided to try Moxy for dinner. I arrived and was standing at the host station for 15 minutes and several servers walked by without even a greeting. Finally the hostesses came by and very rudely...More

We were there on a Thursday with reservations for 7PM. Although there was only a handful of diners when we arrived, other patrons soon streamed in, adding to a festive noise level. We specifically went there for their unusual tapas style plates and were very...More

We sat upstairs and loved the creative layout; we were able to look downstairs and felt the energy of the place. The tapas were fun and delicious, with many interesting choices. The four of us had the rarebit, potatoes, ravioli, burgers, chicken thighs, mushrooms, croquettes...More

The food was great- they are up front and honest that when you order what is ready first comes first! Love honesty! Some great craft beers! A place to go and have small plates to share or not and enjoy some great food!

We went on a Tuesday for dinner. There were 4 of us in our group and we shared our "entrees", ordering 4 items at a time. We tried the Harvard beets, the warm white bean spread, the pan-seared whitefish, the beef short ribs, the pork...More

The food wasn't very good and it was very small portions we actually walked away hungry. Not good for family and not good if you are hungry. Felt like everything was a snack.

For real. We enjoy great food as much as the next but we also send 100's of people each summer to great eateries based on our experience.... this place was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We enjoyed (and devoured mind you) the fried pickles, beets, shark bites, pork belly,...More

We live in the area and had tried this restaurant when it first opened and were unimpressed. Decided to give it another try recently with the same results. Pretentious menu yet the food doesn't deliver. Ridiculously small portions. We kept ordering more food since we...More

Food was terrific, everything we tried was a winner. If my wife and I could eat the same food (don't ask) we'd go here all the time. As we can't, we ordered 5 small plates plus a beer and glass of wine, for $100 with...More

Moxy is a restaurant. The Sheraton is one of the many lovely hotels in Portsmouth. Please re-read the various reviews. I am a visitor to Portsmouth, not a business owner there

Moxy; Self-possessed confidence. An attitude of fearlessness in everyday circumstances. The capacity to stand alone in favor of an unpopular opinion or course of action with a casual demeanor. Moxy is a modern American tapas restaurant focusing on smaller plates meant for sharing and taking our inspiration from our local farmers, culture and history. Moxy is tapas in spirit, energy, style of din
