We made a reservation here for dinner while in Portsmouth during a holiday weekend. The restaurant was slammed so they were delayed in getting our table. We were continuously checked on, offered free drinks, and our table had snacks waiting when we were seating. The waitstaff and host were INCREDIBLE! We probably tried 1 of everything on the menu and... More

I stopped by for a quick dinner, had the sangria, beef short rib marmalade and the hasty pudding frites. The sangria wasn't that flavorful, the frites were bland, and the two tiny servings of the beef short rib marmalade on the hors d'oeuvre-size bread were good but not worth $9. For the price, the food and drink should have been... More

I took my parents here when they were up visiting from North Carolina. We all LOVED Moxy. So much fun. The menu style was a little confusing to us at first, and we were unsure how much to order, but once the food started coming out it all made perfect sense. Every single bite of everything we tried was such... More

This restaurant is tucked away on a quiet street and its worth the stroll to find it. The tapas offer you the opportunity to try new dishes without having to commit to a large entree. The roasted beef bone marrow is out of this world and one of the only food items that I have eaten and continue to think... More

This is a tapas restaurant with AMAZING high quality and creative food. In support of local fare and flavors, the creations are both beautiful and delicious. My sister and I had a lovely evening exploring the various dishes. High on my list (and in my memory banks) were the pan seared chicken thighs and the NH mushrooms. The blend of... More

We had a variety of meat, seafood & veggie small plates with a couple larger options as well. Every dish was fantastic and the cocktails were solid. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. We had a blast! The food was great, and the service was as well. If I was to do anything differently, I would order slower the next time I go. Don't be afraid to do so either. I thought I'd order 2 or 3 things, concerned that it may take a while... More

...that we couldn't eat more. Fantastic takes on all types of cuisine. We enjoyed the hasty pudding frites, calimari, chicken thighs, butternut squash, braised rabbit, and whoopee pies. I would say it was the first time that I would have been happy to try 90% of what was on the menu based on what I saw at my table and... More

My husband and I are huge "foodies", which is one of the reasons we chose Portsmouth as the destination for a weekend away. We felt really overwhelmed by the many, many great dining choices in town, but I'm so glad we ended up choosing Moxy as one of our dinner spots during our stay. Moxy is a self-proclaimed "American tapas"... More

Moxy; Self-possessed confidence. An attitude of fearlessness in everyday circumstances. The capacity to stand alone in favor of an unpopular opinion or course of action with a casual demeanor. Moxy is a modern American tapas restaurant focusing on smaller plates meant for sharing and taking our inspiration from our local farmers, culture and history. Moxy is tapas in spirit, energy, style of din
