Go here to recover from too much fun the night before and load up on carbs and some fats. Coffee good and food is excellent. Homemade and good helpings. Reasonably priced.

Excellent breads and breakfast sandwiches served all day. Plus really yummy smoothies. I had the Thai chicken wrap which was also good.

I go to lunch here quite often and love the variety of the food offerings. It is high quality food with nice seating and always prepared quickly. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to eat in downtown Portsmouth.

Bagel sandwiches and coffee are good. Quick affordable breakfast place. Better than popovers and cheaper too.

The only really good thing about this establishment is the homemade in-house bagels... the sandwiches are ok, but I don't like microwaved eggs and pre-cooked ready to heat ingredients.... The coffee is not good, but better than Kilims. It's a cafeteria style setup and they're only open for breakfast and lunch.

We always make a point of having lunch here when in Portsmouth. The soups have always been excellent, the bread freshly baked. The soup/sandwich special is fresh, and ample for lunch.

We entered from the street. Central location but busy . The line was gone in ten minutes. We had great dream sunflower bagels and tofu spread on them. Coffee was hot and good. Small tables and seating area. Cheap and cozy.

Hello--Thank you so much for your review!! We're thrilled that you experienced good, swift services and yummy food. Our bagels are made with a lot of care (only 5, top-quality ingredients, overnight proofing, and old-fashioned boiling —no steaming!). We look forward to serving you again! Stopped in for quick lunch on a Monday at lunch time. The line was long but moved quickly along. Service was excellent. The Tuna melt grilled panini ( with cheddar cheese and tomato) on sourdough artisan breadwas very tasty. My husband enjoyed a smoked salmon sandwich with tomato, veggie cream cheese, capers and red onion on a salted bagel. With... More

The food here is wonderful: who knew you could get a really good bagel with excellent lox and cream cheese in Portsmouth? And many of their other sandwiches and pastries are excellent as well. The service is variable, depending on the day and the server. Sometimes it is friendly and helpful and accommodating and sometimes it is surly, indifferent and... More
