Had the single lobster dinner with O rings and the clam dinner with fries. Lobster was excellent and the clams were plentiful and were well washed free of sand and grittiness. Atmosphere is pleasant, with ocean decor, and this time as well as the many times I have been there previously, the other diners were focused on a jovial lunch.... More

This is our favorite seafood hangout in southern New Hampshire. Try the clam chowder, lobster stew, fried clams, baked scallops, lobster roll. All highly recommended.

The seafood is good, but average for the region. Prices are too high for the super-casual atmosphere. There are too many other seafood restaurants I'd rather go to that have nicer ambience and ocean views for the same food quality and prices, and have a more expansive menu selection.

Thank you for your review! We definitely do not have ocean views or pretty scenery to look at BUT we try to make up for that with amazingly fresh seafood prepared exactly how you would want it....fried, baked, broiled, grilled, etc. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about the views from our dining room but we'll always try... Al’s Seafood is a classic New England seafood shack for its décor and the food. One orders at the walk-up counter. My friend ordered a Half & Half Boat with fried fantail shrimp and fried haddock at $17.99. I got a Premium Half & Half Boat with fried scallops and fried haddock at $22.99. Both came with French fries. Despite... More

So read a lot of great reviews so we decided to give it a try. Started with coconut shrimp app which was a great price of $6.99 for ten and they were very good. Unfortunately for us our dinners were not very good. My wife had Blackened swordfish which actually was pink in color when served. How is that possible?... More

Thank you very much for your review. I am so disappointed to read that you did not enjoy your experience and that your meals were not up to standards. It sounds as though you were able to let a manager know and I am glad that they tried to make up for the swordfish blunder but we definitely would like... More

A typical (almost) seaside seafood place ... no frills, but you don't need them because the seafood is sooooo good! Large portions, refillable fountain drinks, and beer and wine. Lots of locals eat here so you know it's gotta be great!

Living in this area for most of my 50 years, I've had outstanding seafood, and awful seafood. Al's falls in between. Often, we drove by and saw many cars, so we stopped in for lunch. Sixty dollars later (just 2 plates and 2 drinks), we left disappointed. Then we realized there were no other cars in the dirt parking lot.... More

This is a "seafood fresh off the boat" restaurant. Any seafood they serve is fresh, reasonable, and great tasting! We cannot wait to return to Al's Seafood! The staff at the restaurant give 110% to provide the best service!

This is a little outside the tourism, a "local" laid back favorite. We felt like we struck oil! Fantastic fresh food prepared to perfection and the prices were so fair and reasonable. The staff was adorable, attentive and efficient. They treated us like we were one of the regulars and we felt welcomed and they sincerely cared about our experience.... More

Thank you for your recent review on Al's. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. Al's is definitely not a fine dining establishment...we are a very rustic, casual & laid back place.
