Fantastic red wines and very knowledgeable staff. Would recommend to any red wine lover. Four good cab savs to taste.

Breathtakingly rude cellar door experience. Middle aged man ignored us and then when we asked where he would like us to sit for the tasting he without even turning his head barked "over there." All we saw was the back of his head and he...didn't come over to us to do a tasting so we left. I would never go back to this winery when there are so many wonderful ones. I run wine tours in the region and was horrified at the rudeness from this man.More
Definitely worth putting Driftwood on you places to visit. Had lovely afternoon with hubby and friends enjoying their platter and wine. Staff friendly, happy and little cheeky made our time their super enjoyable. Thanks for great day.
Our group of two couples visited for a drink on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Driftwood promotes itself as dog friendly but were were curtly told dogs outside -on the verandah overlooking the carpark, fair enough not a problem Inside the venue the restaurant was shut...and at the bar I was served by the rudest most arrogant middle aged man I have ever met. Asking fro four drinks seems like a total chore and he clearly didn't want to be there. Upon ordering drinks I was abruptly told they had no shiraz or SB and when I asked for a Prosecco he huffed because he had to find a flute. Hone asked for a soft drink for our skipper the man again huffed and said Id be lucky as the fridges were down and they had no ice. He slammed the can of lemonade on the bar and said " there you go fill your boots" I actually couldn't believe what I was hearting. I was abruptly told to pay at the til and he walked off. I expressed my disgust a to the poor barmaid and she apologised profusely saying he was like this all the time and all the other staff had left because of it. Totally unbelievable treatment. Its no wonder the place was empty and run down. Keep driving past this one lots of other lovely friendly places to visit in Margs...More
What a surprise to discover this lovely family-owned winery! I came with a group of friends for wine tasting and lunch! We tasted an incredible list of wines. For lunch, we were sitting on the terrace with the stunning view over the vineyards. We shared...a couple of starters to share and I then chose to have the gnocchi. The meal was as impressive in size as delicious! We selected a few bottles of white wine alongside our tasty lunch. We had a wonderdul time meeting the owners Tomasino and Helen who are the sweetest humans! A massive thank you to each of the staff that made our day so special, I am so thankful for how well we have been looked after.More
This place was amazing! Stunning views & ambience, the food was incredible! And our waiter Timothy was so welcoming & gave us incredible customer service. The owner came down to meet us too. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more for beautiful views, dining experience,...high quality food and good wines. I’m normally hard to please with dinning experience, but wow I was so impressed!!!More
A wonderful lunch in a superb building set in a great setting and area. We were treated and served in a very professional and friendly manner and the food was excellent, It is a long time since we visited here, but we will make every...effort to get back soon.More
The family run vineyard experience we all dream about. Nothing pretentious here, just good food, stellar wine selection, welcoming smiles and big laughs. The food was delicious, I had the gnocchi and serving was sizable but everyone else was all too happy to eat what...I couldn't. Others had fish and salads which were also delicious, but noted there were options for vegans too. The wine was beautiful (allowed to try what you like), something for every budget, and the chardonnay with lunch was perfection. The setting is peaceful and on the balcony we got the breeze and looked out over the vineyards. The whole experience was so memorable, very laid back European vibes, and at the end the owners even came and had a drink with us. Thank you Driftwood, you made our weekend so special! * I don't even write reviews usually but felt compelled to share such a great and unexpected experience. No photos, too much fun!More
We visited in January, Saturday lunch, group of 6. Beautiful experience, amazing food and wine, creative takes on classic cuisine. But the staff stole the show, the owners are the kindest, most welcoming people and made our stay so special! Everyone went above and beyond,...will definitely be back! Beautiful balcony overlooking the wines, great for outdoor eating. Well priced wines with great selection and special offers when buying multiple. Highly recommend!More
Beautiful lunch, Beautiful scenery, great staff . Very happy this place is open again for lunch after being closed for quite a few years!! Great experience!!
A big group of us had lunch at Driftwood Winery. The food was fantastic and very well-priced; the service excellent and friendly. Very interesting building as well. This place will definitely be on our list for lunch on our next visit to the area. We...are so glad to see this restaurant is back!More
So pleased to be able to dine at Driftwood again. What a great place for lunch. Cannot speak highly enough of the yummy, very reasonably priced food & wine. The menu was comprehensive with generous serves. The service was top notch & our waitperson, Katie,...was an asset to the restaurant. What I loved was the baklava for $3 as a sweet treat with coffee as an option instead of a heavy dessert. Can't wait to go back.More
We had the Australian Fish (Goldband Snapper) and it was perfect. Nice big thick cut of fish with beautiful greens and sauces. We will be back!
Second visit for lunch in a couple of months and food, service and ambiance still excellent. Good value for money.
Great to see the restaurant open after an extended closure. The staff were very welcoming. The food was soooooo good. The fish of the day was my choice and my sister had the rack of lamb. Well presented and very tasty. Lemon cheesecake and coffee...to round out a very enjoyable meal . We will be back 😍More
