The Lakes Region Community College's culinary students offer an international buffet each Thursday (during the school year) at this historic site. Each week you get to try a different cuisine: today was Indian (wonderful shrimp curry, coconut cod, Kerala style lamb, curried chicken, Khadi soup, eggplant and potato combo) Last week was Greek/Middle Eastern. After the Spring break my friends... More

It must be remembered, that these are culinary arts students, but they are supervised.... Seating is 'family style', at trestle tables. Wine is BYO. Dinner is buffet style, which I had not realized. None of the offerings were memorable; some were poorly prepared. Service was also disappointing. I feel that, as a training facility, perhaps there should be some mechanism... More

The Shaker Table is open for lunch only a few days a week, and is run by students from the Lakes Region Community College culinary arts program. The facility is a beautiful building built in a Shaker style and the students do a very good job of staffing the restaurant. It's been ages since I've been able to order a... More

The Shaker lifestyle is admirable expessed at the Shaker Table with simple food, well-prepared, seasoned with locally grown herbs. You sit at long common tables in an elegant but simple dining room with ample windows. Be sure to have a glass of the grape juice -- not too sweet with an interesting flavoring.

I have been to the Shaker Table many times, and even had the nice surprise of having my bridal shower here as well. The ingredients are always super fresh and seasonal, and the menus have a good variety without being cumbersome. I frequent here for lunch in the summer, when I have time, as it is always delectable. Also it... More

When my husband and I want to go out for a special meal, The Shaker Table is where we go. The price for the two of us usually runs a little over $100...so it's pricey as far as local restaurants go, but for that amount we had salad, rolls, excellent dinner, wine and dessert. We have had dinner at The... More

The Shaker Table is a unique restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and the surrounding landscape while dining outside is very enjoyable. Food at the restaurant is very different and defines the Shaker's philosophy of "plain and simple". It's beautifully presented and no one is rushed to finish and leave. We have entertained many of our out of state guests here... More

This should get 4 or 5 stars but service can be patchy at best and let's it down. Nevertheless, local food, beautifully presented, in what can only be described as an idyllic setting
