Set in the 19th century mining town of Virginia City, Nevada, we really didn't expect anything special for lunch. One of the locals strongly recommended The Palace. These folks do sandwiches right, lots of burgers, chicken, pork, veggie, salads & 7 different Reubens! Quick, friendly service was a real pleasure, also. Lots of historical photographs on the walls. Wonder if... More

A quick visit at lunchtime to this unique little town, I asked someone where to eat, she said she just had a good lunch at the Palace. Don't know why it's called the Palace cause it's just a rickety old saloon with a lot of charm and very clean. Our server didn't give us her name but she did a... More

When we went in for lunch it was very busy. We each ordered a sandwich and were surprised by how fast we got them. Great service and good food. It's a lovely building and you don't feel rushed.

We happened into this restaurant while in town and what a wonderful find! Many kinds of Reuben sandwiches, delicious chili, and good beer on tap. Great for kids too. The prices were shockingly good. We can't wait to return. I wish they served breakfast!!

We came here on 2/15/2017 after being turned off by the unfriendly lady at the Ponderosa Saloon. Like the rest of Virginia City, the Palace is full of history and we really enjoyed eating there! Great beer choices also!

This is located in an old historic building along the main street of Virginia City, and is owned and run by a husband and wife team. We only met the woman, who also was our waitress, and she was so very nice, friendly and helpful. The deep fried pickle spears were wonderful and my vegetarian reuben was one of the... More
