American River Cafe is a good for breakfast, especially if you are really hungry. Very large portions! The buffet on the 18th floor is okay. But, if you go on Italian night, go to the pasta station for entrees made to your specifications. That made the dining experience good instead of okay. Very nice view.

My wife and I had Thanksgiving dinner at the buffet on the 18th floor. The view of the lake was spectacular. They had more or less traditional Thanksgiving fare with some other choices for the not so traditional. Most of the casino buffets are similar and this one offers plenty of well prepared food. It was very busy but the... More

Ate at this cafe several times during my 5 day stay at Harrah's. The food was always good and the prices moderate for a hotel restaurant. The atmosphere feels like you are in a rainforest with trees and waterfalls. Very enjoyable!

Came to the buffet (18th floor) at Harrahs on a Friday @ 6:00 pm for the seafood. Had to wait in line for about an hour. Cost was $32 per person. By the time we got seated it was dark and could not see the Lake. Service was excellent, sushi selection was poor, prime rib was cooked medium to well... More

We went to the Harrah's buffet for dinner one evening we were in South Lake Tahoe. I typically do not go for dinner buffet, since I don't eat "meat" (i.e, I will eat fish on occassion) nor do I usually eat enough to feel it's a good value. But my family wanted to go so we did. The buffet selection... More

The showroom was so much more intimate than I expected it to be. There's not a bad seat in the place, and the bar lines move fast. The sound is spectacular! I will definitely see more show here.

The views...........Can't say enough.. The Friday night seafood buffet......Outta sight great selections and all (or as much as we chose to eat) very good. The staff always on the spot without interfering with your meal. Good desert selection also.

We visited for the first time in several years. It used to be very good food and a nice atmosphere. The menu has changed for the worse and there were several loud parties going on. They set us behind a post and we didn't even have a good view. Very disappointing experience

We had breakfast at the buffet on the 18th floor. The view was spectular. Our selection of breakfast foods was varied and typical of a casino resort.
