The side was great and my chicken fried steak was hot and good tasting. had every intention of bring some home but I ate it... More

If you're seeking elegant dining, this is not the place for you. It has a rustic, casual ambiance, where the focus is on comfort food. I took my family there for breakfast and was satisfied with the quality of the food and the service. I had their corned beef hash with poached eggs and it was perfect. The hash was... More

We usually get there for mid morning breakfast on Sunday. If you wait until lunchtime you will have a 15-30 minute wait. Breakfast is way too much food. Perhaps share someone! Pies and desserts are fantastic. Service very good.

There are all kinds of restaurants in this area to eat breakfast and Black Bear never disappoints when I want a good, filling breakfast. Our party had everything from oatmeal to eggs and everyone was satisfied. Always good service.

Black Bear Diner is a chain in the western US that strives for a "local diner" feel. I've eaten at their locations in Tulare and Gilroy, CA, as well as Sparks, NV, and all three meet that goal with friendly service and good comfort food. Portions are large so bring your appetite. On my most recent visit I had sausage... More
