We ate here with friends & enjoyed the atmosphere, & the food. Servers were very informative & we shared an order because of the size of the orders. Lots of choice. Hhighly recommended. Not too expensive. would return.

We were very pleased!! Picked from trip advisor. More food than we could eat and was delicious. We are traveling from North Carolina and hate these are only out west.

Best Breakfast Anytime and Much More ID#: 424242937 Black Bear Diner is a friendly place with quirky newspaper style menus. The food portions are generous, fresh, and delicious. I had a huge fluffy omelette with mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cheese - - my favorite. The menu has options - I choose the red potatoes or you could have hash browns.... More

We both wanted to give this place five stars- it has the potential for that kind of rating. The atmosphere is comfortable and whimsical. The menu is large but not too large- and printed as a newspaper from years ago- a nice touch. The prices are reasonable. The portions are advertised as huge, and there's nothing false about it. I... If you are in for a big family meal, this is a great place to eat. We usually go for breakfast but has all types of meals.

i have eating here many times and found the food to be tasty and pretty well prepared. The offer a great range of foods and all are giant portions. Add reasonable prices and great service and you have a nice place for a meal.

You can always count on the Black Bear Diner to give you great food and service and huge portions at reasonable prices. My 2-egg breakfast combo came with a giant biscuit, a huge portion of hash browns, two scrambled eggs and two excellent spicy house-made sausage patties. (Also available in mild.) The service was prompt, and our server returned numerous... More

This seems to be a Reno staple and I can see why. The service is nice, the portions are a bit too big but the food is great. I particularly liked the biscuits and the poached eggs. And the coffee keeps coming.

This is the first time we have seen a Black Bear Diner and we visited twice in one week. The portions are large, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Wish we had one in Pa.

Ran in here to grab a homestyle meal on the way to the airport and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are young & friendly and they offer a large variety of homey meals and the food tastes good. I'm a foodie but sometimes you just want some chicken potpie or a tuna melt - this is a good place... More
