Three of us went to Louis' (walking distance from downtown Reno) for lunch last week, as we could not get a dinner reservation. The lunch menu is essentially the same as dinner and I think a touch cheaper, so that is a bonus. Seating is...More

We have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally took the plunge. We walked in and thought the interior was really cool. Lots of exposed brick and old wood. A well seasoned hardwood floor. A long bar that seats about 20....More

Funky, old, cold, just ok food. There were 6 if us, one of whom is of Basque descent. After the meal, all of us wished we had not ordered the entree and just had the family style offerings. Of those, only 2 things were any...More

This is the right place to go if you are hungry and feeling sociable. Food is served family style, so we were joined at our table for six by two other groups of two - dining with strangers was brief, as they soon became friends...More

You need to anticipate that this is family-style service. Your party will serve itself from tureens and platters of what you order and you'll likely be seated at a long table with other people, even if the rest of the place is empty. This isn't...More

Good family style dining and basque food. I had a steak that was ok. Probably should have gone with the lamb since it is a basque restaurant. You won't go home hungry. Try their specialty drink

We came here after a local meeting with 20+ people. The service was really good. For such a large group we were happy with the quickness our food arrived. It is family style and much of the menu is set so that does make it...More

This is a neat place to go to sample some Baque food, probably the one type that is "native" to Reno. Prices are reasonable and include soup of the day, French bread, Basque beans, salad, French fries, first course, main entree, dessert, and a glass...More

Great food. Great staff. It can get loud...but that's part of the experience. This has become a "must go" every time I'm in Reno. We had a reservation for our group of 10 and it was ready when we arrived. (I would recommend reservations Thurs.-Saturday)...More

A great place to eat. Food is served family style and the cooking can't be beat. They have traditional Basque food that is to die for! Great value too!

No, unfortunately not at the bar but there are high tops set up close to the bar and they are welcome to eat there. I personally would rather take the child to the dining area in case it gets loud from the drinking customers.
