This was always one of our favourite buffets, we really hope and pray that it will come back some day.
The Eldorado Buffet is a great deal, although the prices reflect the change in Reno's visitor over the last 2-3 decades. It was once true that the Silver Legacy, Circus Circus and Eldorado all offered great buffets at super low prices. This reflected the desire...to attract gamblers. Ever since the proliferation casinos in most states and jurisdictions (few of which offered Nevada's quality pay tables, but that's a different conversation), the three casinos above are now all owned by the same company and nicknamed "The Row" because they are all connected. The Buffet is still good, but the price is premium. Even a top level card holder will pay at least $15 per plate, and "normal" people can expect $25 to $30 per plate. Expensive, and meant to stay that way. Still, its a good meal and top quality food.More
Many thanks for dining with us here at the Eldorado buffet and for being a loyal customer. We are pleased you still enjoy our quality and variety of menu choices. Thank you, The Buffet in the Eldorado at THE ROW
Lots of choices, Italian, Chinese, American, Mexican dishes. The food was hot, salads cold, & service was great. We sampled a little of many & were surprised. A fine dessert bar also.
Thank you so much for your great compliments about our Buffet and then letting others know what great food we provide. We hope you will dine with us again soon. Best wishes and many thanks,
There is something for everyone here. Typical breakfast food of all types---eggs, bacon, sausage (both links and patties), pancakes, omlettes, potatoes, tamales, different carving of meats available, country fried steak with gravy. Plenty of healthy items as well-wide variety of fruits and vegetables, oatmeal, cereal....You name it, they have it. Food was well prepared and tasty.More

Since we have lived in the area, my wife and I have tried many of the buffets and restaurants in the casinos, however, we had never been to the Buffet at the Eldorado. We noticed on a billboard this week that Silver Legacy, Eldorado and...Circus Circus are now offering a 20% discount on restaurants to locals. We decided to check out The Buffet at the Eldorado. It was Sunday a little after 4pm and they had just opened for their Sunday Mexican dinner buffet when we arrived. There was a short line that moved pretty quickly. As we waited, we could see the menu which appeared to include a wide variety of options beyond what we would consider a Mexican diner buffet. In addition to the Latin specialty area, there were many salad options, hot soups an Italian pasta station, pizza, fried chicken, corn on the cob, a carving station with brisket, turkey, keilbasa and prime rib. They also had an Asian specialty area. There is also full dessert area. We were seated very quickly after paying and it did not appear to be very busy. We seldom go to a buffet on a Sunday night but were very pleased that it was no comparison to a Friday or Saturday night experience. My wife and both went to check out the options and grab a plate. We filled our plates with various options and returned to our seats. We each sampled two plates worth and went back to check out the desserts. Both my wife and commented how different an experience this was from the other buffets. We were very impressed. We would recommend checking out The Buffet at the Eldorado.More

My wife and I have been going to this buffet for dozens of times over the past 5 years. Both lunch and dinner are excellent! While the prices continue to rise, the ability to have unlimited amounts of mushroom ravioli alone make it a better...deal (excluding ambiance) than the adjacent La Strada. Here's a pro-tip: you can bring in with you alcoholic beverages from the casino floor. We sometimes bring in our own glass of wine to enjoy with dinner and it is perfectly acceptable. There are typically Mexican, Asian, Italian, and American choices on the buffet line. The desserts are offered in small portions so you can sample multiple dishes without worrying about waste or "waist" ha ha. The gelatto is one of my favorites. Finally I have to mention the staff. Many have been loyal to the Carrano family for many years and their kindness, attention to your needs, and eagerness to please tell you they really enjoy working there. So PLEASE tip them generously...they have families to feed and consider this their career, not just a part time job. We love seeing them and feeling recognized by them as repeat customers. The Eldorado Buffet is visually not as much "wow factor" as a couple of the others in town but for quality service and quality food...they are truly #!More

I know casinos are known for their buffets, but some are better than others. The Buffet at the Eldorado in Reno has a good selection of food, but the quality is great and always consistent. I've been several times over the past few years and...it never disappoints.More

The Eldorado has great mushroom raviolis. When you go be sure and try them. Roast beef is good. Coffee strong and great. Service also excellent. It is at the end off a hall away from the rest of the casino and noise. And the price...is reasonable for the quality of the food.More

There is a lot to choose from and my dinner was good enough. But in the end it was just a casino buffet and nothing to distinguish from so many others.
Hello Thomas, Thank you for choosing to dine at our Buffet but we are sorry that it was nothing special for you. What would make it special for you? We always appreciate to hear from our guests. Sincerely, The Eldorado at THE ROW
Various tasty entrees, and desserts to choose from. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The environment was clean and pleasant. That's one of our favorite things to do while in Vegas!More

We made our mandatory visit to The Buffet at the El Dorado, having just finished a mild road trip up the mountain to spend the weekend. Got here a little after noon, on a weekday, and it wasn't very crowded. Easy and quick seating, and...our server, Martin, quickly welcomed us and took our beverage orders. Between he and Tony, who stepped up as needed as well, the service was excellent! Drinks quickly refilled, and the spoils of battle (dirty plates . . . ) just as quickly cleared. The Buffet in general is kept clean and welcoming, with a nice decor and easy to navigate layout. The counters and serving areas are likewise clean. Like most buffets, we have our favorite stations and dishes, and even a kind of schedule to our attack! Today we meandered, and found some regular favorites as well as some unexpected disappointments. On the LIKE side: The mushroom ravioli were outstanding, well cooked and smothered in a rich, creamy mushroom gravy/sauce. The salad bar featured green salads and more, but the fresh fruits were sweet and soft, well ripened. The French toast was great, especially with the heated syrup. Sausage was especially tasty, too. The carving station is always great, and the little steaks were nice. Desserts are always good as well, although not much on cakes or pies, just lots of little "one biters." The eclairs were good, and the strawberry puff/meringue pastries. The brownies were perfect! And the gelato station is always a hit as well. Some of the DISAPPOINTMENTS we found were: the pizza (dough was not tasty at all and the sauce was likewise bland); the tortellini were under-cooked and tough, and a second batch brought fresh from the back was equally chewy and the sauce in that one was extremely watery (a contrast from the Italian Festival tortellini we had the following day from their street vendor station which was tasty and just perfectly al dente in a creamy sauce). Interestingly, the Mediterranean pasta (pictured) was also very chewy and under-cooked - seems to be a challenge with that day's cook staff. The scrambled eggs were horrible, very watery and formless, much like I imagine reconstituted egg powder to be like - I've had scrambled eggs in other large serving environments that were just like home - these were just like battlefield! Yes, there were some disappointments among our favorites, but in a buffet you can find other options just to your left or right - part of the experience, of course. For the amount of food one can eat, the variety of choices and the value (hit it mid-day if you can, much cheaper and pretty much same as night time offerings with exception of crab legs and such), The Buffet is still a good choice and a good meal. We'll be back.More
