Our waiter, Erewyn, was top shelf. He explained the menu items, was very attentive, and was very professional. The Chilean Sea Bass and Filet Mignon was delicious. The tab was not overkill, either. I highly recommend this location.More

this was an amazing night! I went in a big group with some buddies of mine. Last minute mind you, we got sat right away. Our server Sierra was amazing. She knew what wine I needed to pair with my dry age steak. She also...checked on us regularly and had a great sense of humor she also took extra care of us (party of 8). Our drinks and food came out super quick and it was delicious. Service, food, ambience was good for fine dining. Will be coming back.More

In a word don’t bother. Made reservations for our anniversary, tried to make them by phone nobody answered. Made reservations for 5:45Thursday on opentable. Wondered why the number of tv ads recently. Got an answer. Arrived 10 minutes early. Told our table wasn’t ready and...sat for 25 minutes. Got seated in the north forty. Felt like we were seated in the cafeteria, ambiance was on par with a buffet. Next to the wait station with plates etc. being put into bins. The table next to us complained about the noise. Waited 15 minutes for a waitress who obviously was told to take care of the tables in Siberia. No water. Listened to the table next to us try to order the “local insiders menu” who was told that due to an event wasn’t being honored. We did not know how to determine which nights were “ event nights” because open table did not tell us when we made the reservation . So much for the many promotional emails. They made their reservation on the phone and weren’t told either. Decided to cut our losses and went to the Peppermill where they know how to treat their guests. On the way out encountered the manager in the very expensive suit who had no idea how to treat guests. They were making plenty of money off of the show guests. We didn’t matter. Go to the Peppermill, Atlantis, Texas Roadhouse or any other Steakhouse in Reno for a much better meal and experience. Now we know why the large number of TV commercials.More

My husband and I had dinner here last Monday. We had a very relaxing, nice dinner experience! I know most times people like to write reviews when the experience is bad, but I'm writing this review because this experience was wonderful. Our severs name was...Kylie and she was such a delight. She greeted us with a smile and introduced herself. She was friendly, professional and kind. She took our order promptly. After our food came she came to check on us to make sure that we had everything we needed. While we were waiting for our food. The manger Kristin came over and was very attentive to the lighting at our table and notice that it was too bright and lowered the lighting. She then came by and chatted with us to see how things were. She was kind, friendly and professional! The food was so good and delicious, we had the wedge salad, fillet and crab legs. These two ladies Kristin and Kylie made our dinner Experience memorable and we return for dinner again. These two ladies are an asset to your team and Resturant!! Thank you, so much Kristin and Kylie for the wonderful experience.More

Visited Charlie Palmer's 3 times during the week of the Reno Air races. Kristin was very helpful with our reservations, and is a delightful hostess. Our Happy hour experiences with Roberto, Taylor and Bianca were exceptional. Our dinner with Erewyn as our server provided us...with great Wine and entree recommendations. Our final dinner was with Cody, another exceptional experience. From our Wine recommendations to our entrees it was a first class experience. Cody recommended the A5 Kobe Striploin, hands down the best steak I have ever eaten. A visit to our table by Chef David Morris made our experience complete.More

What a wonderful surprise! Charlie Palmers is my new FAVORITE. I had family in and wanted to take them someplace nice and this restaurant was recommended to me by a co-worker. Anyway, the service was great, and the food was amazing. I ordered the Filet...Mignon and it was recommended that I try it Oscar Style. I didn't know what that was but tried it because Kristi, who worked there, said I wouldn't regret it. I sure didn't! This was the BEST. THANK YOU, Charlie Palmers, and especially Kristi (Kristi with an i..yeah). She made the night extra special.More

Best happy hour in town! Being a local I don’t go out much to casinos but I have to say I am impressed! I had co workers in town and they were staying at GSR. I knew of the happy hour at Charlie Palmers Steakhouse...so I suggested we meet there. We got there right at 4pm and were greeted by Michelle, she was accommodating and friendly throughout our 2 and a half hours there. She checked on us often and was attentive the entire time. Chris stopped by (restaurant manager) to check on us and make sure we had all we needed. This is my new happy hour favorite in town. Thank you GSR for always being a step above…More

The steak house has absolutely no feeling of a high end restaurant. This reminded me of a buffet at the casino ( decor, menus and everything about it). The steak house at the Peppermill and Atlantis are so much nicer. The wringer was pushy with...menu and wine options (we always get at lest one bottle m, that being said over priced and no local Tahoe wines). My steak at MR tasted of Vinegar. The potatoes were soupy like a crummy store box mix. The bus staff stood at some station behind us and we’d got the listen to their entire conversation. The only nice thing was the piece of chocolate at the end .More

Our experience was great! The drinks are delicious. The service was spectacular; the hostess was friendly and engaging, the bus person was just so sweet to our table and we loved him. Went for Valentines Day. We knew it would be expensive, but we were okay with that. We had a reservation for 5:30 and got there at 5:20. We were seated right away. We chose the "Valentines Special Dinner". Appetizer choice was raw oysters or a...grapefruit avocado salad (yuck). We choose the oysters. After waiting about 20 minutes we got our oysters. Four of them were so small we almost did not notice them on the ice.... literally less than dime size. The "mignonette" was tasteless and there was no offer of cocktail sauce (I guess that's the "thing" now.) After the oysters, we waited another hour for our entrée. The server told us twice that we were "up next" but that the kitchen was busy. There were no more than 15-20% of the tables full! I hate to think how long the 7:00 diners had to wait. We got the chateaubriand and shrimp. It arrived at our table as two chunks of meat on a platter with a smattering of squishy mashed potatoes and one quarter size shrimp on each chunk of meat. They provided us with two appetizer plates to try to carve up our meat and eat on. We did get two tureens of drawn butter for our TWO shrimp. What a laugh. There was not a vegetable in site... not even a garnish. By the time we got our meal, our wine was gone which was also disappointing. I have to say, the "shared" desert was very good but did not make up for the disappointing food and service. We got out the door with a bill (including a miniscule tip) for $346.00. It was an absolute atrocity. I have never felt so taken advantage of. We will never go back again.More

I recently visited Charlie Palmer after seeing rim was closed without any noticed. The manager from Charlie Palmer Kristen happen to see my wife and I standing waiting at rim and kindly explained to us that unfortunately due to occupancy of the resort the restaurant...was not opening. Needless to say we were upset. Well that was quickly turned around by her positive attitude and quick action to get us a table at Charlie Palmer she walked us over and after a quick talk with the hostess found us a great booth where our server Donavan delighted us with his knowledge of the menu suggesting we try the new foie gras (amazing!) we were surprised they have no sommelier on property but Kristen was fabulous with her expensive wine knowledge she recommended a fabulous well priced Riesling to pair with our starters and wowed us with her red wine knowledge introducing us to Pride Cabernet which she said she had visited and had great background and is now one of our new favorites. Keep up the good work at Charlie Palmer and give great praise to those two employees for making a night that was turning into a disaster into one of the best meals of our lives!More

Had an amazing dinner to celebrate my birthday Saturday night. The staff at Charlie Palmer definitely know how to treat you and make you feel five star. We started off with some diver scallops that we didn't take a picture of because it was so...delicious all we could do was eat!. 🤤 Then we had a bacon slab, so divine. The smokiness and tenderness is unlike any other bacon I've had, hence why there is bite left before we remembered pictures...🤣 This was all accompanied by 2 glasses of Moscato and Moscato D'Asti...so sweet and crisp and bubbly. Which I was definitely feeling by time chef Mike brought us out our steaks. My wife got the wagyu with tiger prawns, scrumptious. I got a delicious and beautiful looking ribeye. Which ever cook they have grilling tonight knew their stuff... 😜🤗 Julian was our server and could not have been more perfect. The jokes the laughs, all the bussers coming to clear the table bring the food. It was a beautiful symphony of workers, all making my night as special as possible. Last but not least is the Espresso Martini...Lucas the manager bought me a birthday drink. Apparently Charlie Palmer Steakhouse is the only restaurant on the west side to have this beautiful tap machine that makes you a martini...I was blown away. Starbucks cold brew, kaluha, ketel one vodka, and that foam on top. It was out of this world smooth and a perfect amount of sweetness. I am a Coffee fiend, and this is the perfect after dinner drink. There was no nasty vodka after taste that I was convinced was gonna be there either. If you are looking for a pleasant five star atmosphere with delicious food that will take you to another world, Charlie Palmer is your place. We spent about 2 and half hours, and it blew by. Julian was the cherry on top of our evening and we would come back just for him. 😜More
