A tour guide made our reservation. We thought we were going to be able to get a taxi so we wouldn't have to walk the 2 miles from the Monte Carlo to the Palazzo. Unfortunately we went out the wrong door & never found the taxi stand. So we walked. When we got there the restaurant couldn't find our reservation.... More
First time at Carnevino and it did not disappoint. World's largest wine list, hundreds of wines available at all price points (including $15,000 bottles!), so if you can't find the wine you like here, it doesn't exist. Cocktails are decent, but most are not sweet like moscato. Ribeye was exceptional, lobster tail pretty good, octopus excellent, and the chef threw... More
On a last minute dinner we decided to splurge a little and a have late night Valentines dinner. We walked through The Venetian and settled on Carnevino. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and immediately sat. MJ was our waiter. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the seafood pasta. Both were phenomenal. MJ was very attentive... More
What a wonderful evening!!! The food was awesome and the service was stunning. I read the online reviews and looked at photos of the dishes in advance. That could not capture the service experience of being there in person though. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and coached us through the menu like a pro - not pompous and pushy. But... More
This was our third visit to Carnevino. My husband and I shared a Insalata Romano which was similar to a caesar salad. My entree was beef cheek ravioli in a wonderful butter, parmesan sauce drizzled with aged balsalmic viniagrette. It was wonderful. My husband had the veal scallopini with a marsala sauce. Our plates were wiped clean with the wonderful... More
This is not the place for a quick meal...it's where you go for a dining experience. Expected prices for incredibly prepared meals and skilled service. Fantastic wine list. For intimate dinner or a business group, Carnevino will leave the lasting impression beyond expectations.
Had the bone-in aged ribeye for two. The table side hand carving was nice. Since my wife prefers rare and I medium rare, our waiter brought my portion back for further grilling. Two negatives: The price of $76 per person for a steak the size I would have cooked for myself was excessive. Given that price, I thought the additional... More
Totally not worth the money. Bland food and small portions. The service was good but nowhere near the level of say, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant (go there instead!). I'm a fan of Mario Batali so we gave it a shot....this is also the meal we chose to have after we got married. Ugh! Do you think they cared, nope. Said... More
Ridiculously expensive, steaks good, not fabulous, wine out of sight selection but mark up extreme, waitor average, wine sommelier very good, be warned, warm check book before visit.
