Restaurant is located about 1.5 miles off I-80 on the main drag through Elko. They are fresh and ready to eat when you arrive. They have traditional pasties as well as some creative variations (breakfast). We had 3 different types beef and cabbage, beef and mushroom, vegetable and cheese. They are excellent, filling and something different than the run of... More

You don't find a lot of pastie places around and that is too bad. They make traditional pasties here and crazy ones too. First time we went, we got chicken and rice ones, beef, beef and onion, and chicken tikka masala. Wow - that curry one was awesome. Next time we came, the tikka masala wasn't available but they had... More

The Pasties are quite tasty and very filling. Others liked the pies, but I didn't have any. There are breakfast and lunch/dinner pasties. All are good.

The traditional Cornish pasties are what the Cornish miners would bring down into the mines for their meal in their lunch tins. BJ Bull's has a great selection of traditional pasties and they are served hot and quick.

Best pasties I've had in America after moving here from Britain 26 years ago. My husband and I went traditional with beef and potato and beef and mushroom while my daughter went with a special of Ham Au Gratin. Preferred the traditional but the special was still good.

My husband and I were looking for a casual place to have a late lunch on our only day in Elko and were so excited to read about the BJ Bull Bakery! We'd eaten many basic meat pasties while traveling through Scotland, England and Wales, and wanted to try some of BJ's other varieties -- and their sweet-and-spivey special sauce... More

I had read about this place but never visited before. Pasties are a Welsh/Cornish form of meat pie, like a large empanada or a very large pierogie. The crust is flaky like a pie. I had the beef and onion pastie and it was excellent - flaky warm crust, tasty filling. You hold them in your hand and chomp away.... More

My husband was a miner, once upon a time. He used to take pasties down to the mine for his main meal. We are in Elko for a short period and we're pleased to find pasties here. In a short period we have had meat and potatoes, chicken and rice, and ham and cheese pasties. Meat and potatoes are our... More

We travel with a big insulated cooler, so we sropped at BJs this morning and bought a few things. Just heated them up this evening in the microwave in our next town (Ely, NV) and was astonished at how good they were! Tried the beef and potato as well as the chicken and rice pasties. Absolutely yummy! Also bought two... More
