Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Barely ever write reviews. However thought I better today as the customer service was noticeably exceptional and deserved recognition. Really nice personable manner, polite, helpful and prompt.
Drinks And snacks were great. Great Gin, crispy tasty wedges, YOM!

Was able to have D4 to ourselves for a family birthday. The food platters were excellent, its a nice space for a small gathering. Staff really helpful and friendly.

The black brioche cheese burger was bad. Tasted stale and watery beef. Shame as the place is great. Oh and the deep fried olives just weird. Awesome beer selection. I'll have a liquid dinner next time or may try the fish n chips.

The front of house staff seem to be run off their feet with many customers so we expected a wait, no problem, food was great when it arrived really hot, filling and nice presentation (lamb shank pie) Staff were lovely. Go during happy hour otherwise your in for a scare on the drinks bill.

I was visiting Wellington for work and visited D4 in Mana, randomly came across it with a colleague and thought it was the most promising in the area. Lots of beer knowledge, really friendly staff (both current and past!) and we didn't feel rushed out at the end of the night. Would recommend.

As we were on the train from Plimmerton to Wellington, we happened to notice the sign through the train window. "Craft Beer" shouted out to us, saying come on back now. We will be waiting for you."
With our MetroLink Rover weekend card, we could hop on and off the train without limit. We spent the day in Wellington, then headed back to Plimmerton with a stop at Mana.
Seeing a place from a train and then actually finding it are two different things. We were determined, so we walked and walked and found it attached to the Supply Room Restaurant and bar.
The gentleman bartender was kind enough to give us tastings so we could choose the best for each of us. We were allowed to take our beers into the adjoining restaurant, where we ordered fries. These were humongous, beautifully golden chunks of potato with an incredible creamy sauce for dunking.

We like to stop in for a quick drink and tapas style food. The Mexican platter is real favourite of ours as is the selection of their range of meals. The beers are OK and the selection is rather vast. It isn't usually that busy which is a shame because this place is quite nice and you can walk through to the Supply room next door if you wish. Staff are friendly and efficient and make the dining experience worth while.

Met a friend for a drink and enjoyed the upmarket decor and quietness of a Wednesday afternoon.
Great craft beer selection at Wellington CBD prices.

This was a short stop to refuel and have a drink with food. The meals were tasty and more than big enough.
The range of beers available was impressive and I would have enjoyed staying longer.

The Guinness was different (Kiwi cold) and the Tapas food adequate for the occasion. Very friendly staff made us most welcome, a great place to relax with a quiet pint.

Relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Not too noisy to catch up with friends. Great range of craft beers to try (the staff will help you decide!) & wines/spirits if beer's not your thing. Lovely choice of tapas to share around as a relaxed meal. This is a smart establishment without being stuffy.

Great food, good beer but children not allowed in the bar.
No drama in this case as we could sit outside but go if it's raining.

This Irish themed bar D4 (named after the Dublin postal code D4) is a nice cosy place to try something new for the beer connoisseur. It is encouraged to try new beers but if you prefer you can choose a traditional Corona or some other mass produced beers.
Taps change with refreshing regularity new and interesting craft beers are always showing up and the staff are more than happy to discuss beer.
They have ice cold Guinness on tap!!!
There are others like one of my favorites Asahi along with many others.
If Irish single malt is your cup of tea there are some amazing selections, and even some that are incredibly rare.
Taps are the only food that is served here but there is a great variety, if you want a full meal you can dine in the connected Supply Room and still get a full meal while enjoying the craft beer loveliness.
Try it, I dont think you will be disappointing, the managers name is Chris, pop in and say HI!!
