Menu more 'upscale' than just burgers; many of the group has the lamp chops and loved them. Very nice beer list. Very supporting with our large-group reservation. One problem - the pickled peppers on the charcuterie plate were rancid. I let the waiter know, wanting to be sure the kitchen knew. He came back, stating that the chef would indeed... More

My husband and I just ate here, second supper in 3 days. Husband had rib eye steak, 14oz. It was cooked as ordered, medium rare, and he loved the sauce. I had a special duck breast, which was tender and tasty, great sauce. Good, efficient service. We might come again before we have to leave. We had reservations and it... More

We spent a week at Big Mountain and enjoyed the Hellroaring Saloon twice for dinner. They've done an excellent job of keeping the place old school, but with really great upscale food. It isn't just a beer-and-nachos ski pub, it's a fine restaurant, too. The portions are huge - we were able to make four meals, total, out of two... More

The service is super friendly and the food excellent. I had the best green chili soup here. Our group like to have lunch here as often as possible on ski trips. It can be crowded during the prime lunch time. Get there before noon and maybe not have to wait so long. Buy a hat and get 2 for one... More

A slope-side pub and eatery that is only accessible over snow. You'll see as many people in ski boots as in shoes. This is a fun place for apres ski with friends. Decent beer and wine selection. They have some hard liquor also, but I didn't check too closely to see what. They have the world's largest nacho plates! And... More

This is ski dining like it used to be. A packed house in an old wooden building with a bar in the middle. The staff works at a frenetic pace to deliver decent food. Think burgers, wings, sandwiches. It's an experience. Not fine dining. Not relaxing. But worth the experience at least once. Be prepared to wait for a table... More

Food is good, great atmosphere and good place for lunch or after skiing drink. This is a very old building and carries a lot of memories from a rental room chalet to now rooms for the race tem and fun walk in- ski in place to eat and meet people.

Whoa. Sorry, but motley crew reigns. Very inattentive. Owner doesn't seem motivated. Food decent. Limited brews. I'm just unimpressed.

We enjoy getting a beer and something to eat at the Hellroaring Saloon after a great day of skiing on Whitefish Mountain. This visit, we ordered a pitcher of a good amber beer and the Build your own Quesadilla with shredded beef. The quesadilla was from the Apres Ski menu for $10.50 and it was the perfect size to share,... More

If you find yourself at the Whitefish Mountain Resort (aka Big Mountain) and don't stop your ski descent at the bottom of the Big Ravine ski run, you will run into the Hellroaring Saloon & Eatery. My ski buddies and I first went in to warm up with some soup and beer. It was so good we went back the... More
