This fine dining totally lived up to its billing. The server, Stacy Miller, is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our orders were brought out in a timely manner and she checked back with us regularly but not in a bothersome way. The food of course is top notch. We started with calamari and lamb roll - delicious. I particularly liked the... More

If you are looking for a great place in the Gallatin Valley area to eat crab, this is excellent. They offer all you can eat crab on Sunday nights and it is well worth it! Great food, great staff and great atmosphere.

The special which included barrimundi was underwhelming. There was no flavor. The fish reminded me of Brook trout left too long in the freezer. I did not eat it. There was no offer to replace it or substitute.

It saddens me to hear that you did not enjoy our Three Course special. Although what bothers me the most is that you were not offered a suitable solution to have you leaving happy and satisfied. I would like to offer that now if it's not too late. Feel free to contact me and I will be happy to do... More

Fabulous prime rib Wednesday! Bacon wrapped baked potato was amazing, as was the walleye. Beautiful dining room. Their menus are illuminated, making them very easy to read and very unique. My mother always carries a flashlight in her purse for menu reading. This was a wonderful, thoughtful feature. Gracious staff and excellent food. A great stop in a spectacularly restored... More

I'm so glad that you enjoyed your experience at Pompey's Grill. The menus are just one of the small details we take pride in. Wednesdays are just one of our weekly special nights, so you'll have to be sure to stop back in on a Sunday or Thursday night as well to enjoy those specials. Thank you for taking the... More

I wanted to update this review and change the rating for 1 star to 3. I was contacted by the owner of Pompey's after posting my review. He was very apologetic and said that this issue had not been handled well and he was very sorry for my poor experience, and that he is working with the staff to ensure... More

Sunday is all you can eat King crab legs. Three of my party had that and the crab just kept on coming. I had the wagyu steak with a morel sauce and roasted potatoes. Creme bulge served with chocolate coated spoons and chocolate bombe for dessert was over the top. Serve, food and ambiance was all five star.

I would like to start off by saying that I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times and have had some mixed experiences with the food. I have had a couple of excellent meals, and a couple off the mark. A couple years ago I ordered a steak (I think it was a NY strip) and it arrived... More

Again, I am truly sorry for what you experienced that night during your anniversary dinner. Our fine dining restaurant usually lends itself to a better environment than that of which you witnessed. As our servers are not stationery, we don't always observe all the behavior that is conducted by nearby tables. We understand your concern and we are very sorry... More

Pompey's Grill, the main restaurant at the hotel, is simply amazing. The chef undertakes some wonderful flavor combinations that are utterly fabulous. We went to a wine paring last evening and had several courses, small plates, and I am still savoring how good they were. The chocolate torte is divine. We have taken in-town business guests here over the course... More

Description
Here at the Sacajawea Hotel we have two great spots for you to enjoy food or drink in our beautiful setting. Stop into Pompey's Grill or Sacajawea Bar & Diner and try any one of our great dishes. After dinner head down to the Sacajawea Bar for a drink, a game of poker, or live music and dancing. No matter what you are looking for, we have you covered. Our dining room at Pompey's Grill features an extensive menu sure to please the most discriminating palette. Big Certified Angus Beef Steaks are on the menu, all hand-cut by our Executive Chef who then fires them hot on a wood smoke grill. Our wine list is extensive, with many varietals from different regions, all paired to complement the cuisine. Our casual watering hole, the Sacajawea Bar, is the place to be. Lively conversation, a bar menu, and live music on the weekends are the reasons why our downstairs bar is so popular. The 100 year old clear fir boards that once graced the floor of the Front Porch were re-purposed as wainscoting on the walls, and the old porch railings are now where you rest your boots while bellying up to the bar. Gaming machines and a Live Poker Room, which doubles as a meeting space, are ready for when the mood strikes. The Hotel was brought back to life in 2010, this Historic Gem is celebrating in Grand Style. From top to bottom, we have made every effort to ensure a comfortable and unique experience for all of our guests. Whether you are here for the afternoon or a week, you will be welcomed by our staff and made to feel like family.
