In late August, we planned to eat at Rising Sun where we spent the previous night, but decided to drive awhile before stopping for breakfast. We were glad we did! Johnson's is packed with antiques, lists of previous guest names under the table glass and our favorite, the menu. In addition to food items, it had a collection of "isms"... More

We ate one of our evening meals here while at Glacier National Park mainly because of the Tripadvisor reviews. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. The only good thing about this experience was the service and the soup. I ordered the 1/3 lb. buffalo burger. It arrived on two toasted slices of the "homemade" bread, with a dry... More

Getting up the hill to this place was fun. It is decorated western style, started by a married couple and had real homecooking. There is no alcohol and the portions are as big as the montana sky. When I saw the breakfast burrito, I could not believe it. I ate the rest the next day.

The view from the parking lot of this restaurant is beautiful--looking west towards Glacier Nat'l Park from its east entrance--and that's the best part. Food was average and nothing to write home about. Rustic interior.

Johnson's Cafe closes for the off-season - currently closed until next spring. We visited this cafe in early September and had an exceptional lunch. Their soup is outstanding, especially on a cold day. Their sandwiches and other meals are excellent and they have some unreal deserts. So bring your appetite and be prepared to wait up til 30 minutes -... More

Unique Mom & Pop restaurant with great food and service to match. Stopped here on our way to Many Glaicer for lunch, really friendly people going out of there way to make us feel comfortable. Had the special, BBQ Beef sandwich and soup, one order was more than two people could eat, which we would have had enough room for... More

Best meal we had while visiting Babb. They served family style. The soup and bread were outstanding. Loved the atmosphere, antiques on walls and hanging from ceiling. Had meatloaf that somebody actually made that day. It was great.

Having asked a local where I could get a good steak dinner, I took their advice and went to Johnson's Café. The restaurant is a quaint mountain restaurant. I enjoyed the plain and simple ambience. My server was friendly and timely. I had arrived about 20 minutes too early for dinner, but my server asked the cook if he could... More

My husband and I had visited Glacier National Park and found ourselves in Saint Mary for the night. We both wanted something light for dinner and we found this little family restaurant that sits at the top of a hill (winding driveway)called Johnson's Cafe. Nothing fancy but seemed clean enough and people were friendly. I had a BLT on homemade... More
