Wow! The inside architecture is amazing. Has an old fashioned gold register. Lots of pictures. Bartender was informative. Quiet when we were there for a cocktail before going to dinner. Don't let the neon sign fool you. Great stop

What a find! From the old bar and surround, the tile floor, and stamped tin ceiling it is a real beauty. Then add the friendly locals, ranchers and others, time spent here was so very enjoyable. You have to be careful, though. The folks at the bar love to "buy a round". You have to eventually politely decline, or the... More

We arrived late into Miles City to the sketchy local campground, so not wishing to try to cook a meal we set out to find some supper. Were pleasantly surprised and impressed by this historic old bar in the heart of a real cowboy town. Decor is authentic, with genuine steer heads on the walls, dark wood booths and bar... More

While traveling on I-94, we looked for a local restaurant in Miles City for supper, and decided to try the Montana Bar, based on other online reviews and the longevity (1906) of the establishment. When we entered the bar, we were a little confused, as the tables in the booths were very small and the benches sat too far back... More

This is an old bar with an old cash register, which gives it a fun, quaint feel. The bar staff is friendly and efficient

Great to be in an establishment on the national register of historic places! Not expected in Miles City. Friendly bartenders and clientele. Drinks were good and incredibly reasonable even for happy hour

Very interesting location, a bar since 1908. Our friendly bartender gave us a brochure about the building's history. It was very interesting to read the origins of each of the steer heads mounted on the wall and look at the photos of those same cattle at work. My husband admired the interesting historic urinal and men's room stall. I admired... More

We had a great time at the bar. The food was more creative than I see in much bigger towns. And what a great history! What's really cool though is that the bartender's mustache matched the Longhorns on the wall!

Pros: The historic bar is really cool! F Great place to stop in for a cold one and take in a bit of history! Wings were good (but over-priced and not jumbo as claimed on the menu). Cons: all of the other appetizers we ordered were mediocre... at best. The full order of nachos, that the menu claimed would be... More

Cold Beer, Very good food, Friendly Service, History! We were so glad we stopped. A couple local fellows were very friendly. The bar tender gave us a "tour". Very interesting history lesson. The old original furnishings, ceiling and floor are great.
