We spent one night in Gallatin and our hotel recommended this place. She stayed " Stacey's is about as Montana as You Get" and she was right on. The steaks were excellent and the service very friendly. This was a weekend night so we had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated. The service was a bit slow but... More

Stacey's is an iconic landmark in the valley. It has been family owned since the 60's and retains that old Montana cowboy charm. They do not take reservations but our wait was not that long & well worth it. The steaks, cowboy chips & dessert were all excellent. Steaks were cooked as ordered, so medium rare was right on. Out... There have been a few changes to this old saloon but it still retains the character of this iconic watering hole. The food is terrific in the family friendly restaurant and a great place for a gathering of friends for a drink. This is a true western saloon with some wonderful cowboy pictures all around the p[ace.

I have been coming out here for a number of years now and have yet to be disappointed. If I hit when it is truly packed with people, like when they have live music, things can get a bit "iffy" but that is to be expected. Otherwise every visit has been very good wether it is for lunch or dinner.... More

Staceys environment, staff, and most importantly food have been top notch all 4 visits we've made there. Top 3 steakhouses we have visited in Montana hands down.

We stopped here for lunch. Entered on the bar side. Not that friendly.pointed us to the restaurant door. Waitress in restaurant friendly, although the waited on folks who came after us before she helped us. The soup of the day was good. The prime rib sandwich was adequate. Large portions.

Nice place. Attentive staff. No need to dress up to fit in Stacey's. Our group of 8 plus 2 kids were accommodated with just a short wait on a Friday night.

No better place to stop in for a beer and some fried gizzards or "oysters", after a long day on the river. If you fish the Gallatin upstream from Bozeman to Big Sky, you have not fished it, unless you leave some rubs on the bar at Stacey's. Great place to power down!

With Stacey's it is a hit or miss. Sometimes the steak is great, sometimes not so. The burgers are usually a safe bet though. If you want something truly rare, you need to tell them. Ask for "black and blue". Otherwise it will be more like medium. The daily soups are usually great. Really tasty. Also, the steak sandwich is... More

Want to go to a great bar and restaurant? Then you have to visit Stacy's Gallatin Gateway. This place is about as authentic MT as it gets. Very few tourists will be found cuz it's kind of hard to get to. The steak sandwich was fantastic and I even had good bottles of wine. One weird thing is they don't... More
