This building and it's history are half of the reason to visit; the other half is shared between the gift shop and the restaurant. As gorgeous as the building is, the shop and dining are "merely" above average relative to their pricing. Absolutely worth at least one visit.

We ate in the small bar/restaurant that adjoins this restaurant. Difficult to get seating, but the menu was more appealing than the main dining room where nothing looked appetizing and was overpriced. This lodge needs a cafe for smaller meals and much better food.

Take a step back in time by having a meal here in this grand dining room, which now 2 weeks late,r is more memorable than the meal. We enjoyed the young guitarist singing & strumming his own renditions of classic oldies. The quiet music added a festive ambience to the evening.

Classic meals for a lodge. The soup, especillay the corn was excellent very spicy( hot...). Trout was excellent and ruesting double vegetables and no rice was not a problem, good elk and bison sausage( the chicken was without utility...). As ever desserts less good. Correct breakfast(excellent granola and fruit salad).

Not many options in East Glacier at end of season but the Lodge provided a good enough meal. Service outstanding.

We had the Breakfast Buffet and were very happy with our meal and the service. Ask for a table on the left side of the room, where there are better views.

Short and sweet-DINNER-I know it was nearing the end of the season, but come on. All of us picked (not picky) at our lackluster dinners. I had a Cornish game hen covered by some kind of chutney mush. Just a simple game hen and some potatoes would have been much better. Again I know its the end of the season,... More

Although we were disappointed with the hotel and the staff, the restaurant was a very pleasant experience. Friendly and helpful service! Very good food - highly recommend the huckelberry meatballs, yum!!! Loved the atmosphere and large enough to stand in fireplace.
