Though I've been to Cooke City multiple times, this was my first experience at the Bearclaw Bakery. What a find!!! The lady who makes the pastries is fabulously friendly. The pastries are decadent, filling and definitely make you want more. We returned several times and were never disappointed. I loved the "shop atmosphere" which reminded me of a 1960's establishment... More

We tried pastries 'to go' one morning and stayed there and had breakfast sandwiches the next day. The food was excellent, with large portions, but kind of expensive which I guess is due to the captive audience in Cooke City. Only a few tables are available.

We wanted to head into the park early and this was the only place in Cooke City open at 6 am. It is limited seating 20 or so but everyone the day we were there were so friendly they let you sit with them and the talk was where are the wolves today. The breakfast couldn't have been better and... More

This is a place you would miss if all the locals did not tell you to stop for breakfast. I had the best Eggs Benedict of my trip in this bait shop turned restaurant. The staff were very nice. Very limited seating, so you get to know other people by sharing tables. If you want great baked goods, go no... More

Services in Cooke are limited. Thank goodness this being the only choice it is a good option. Services was good and friendly. Food was good as well. They do not stay open all day and I'm not sure when they do close.

This place has a very good rating on TA and it's for good reason. Best breakfast I've had in the USA so far I reckon. If you bring your own mug, espresso is 2 bucks. All the breakfasts look amazing – I wish I'd been here longer to try them all. The freshly baked goods such as the cakes etc... More

This is the best place to eat breakfast in Cooke City! After breakfast, we would get bakery goodies to take with us for snacks in the park.

What a wonderful surprise to find this gem of a bakery and coffee shop. It is open early, so grab something yummy and head into the Park and watch the wildlife.

We had to ask someone where to find this bakery. It is small, but oh so good! We were there at 1100, and they were almost sold out. We tried the lemon blueberry bread and the Apple cardemon cake. We didn't try it until we were up on bearclaw pass or we would have gone back for more! Both were... More
