My girlfriend and I went to Fred's while we were in Butte. I have eaten here before and find the food excellent. I had the chicken strips with fries. Their chicken strips are Not breaded but battered and are so tender. The fries are great also. My gf had a salad with a kabob of grilled chicken pieces. She said... More

Best onion rings this side of Twohey's in San Marino, California. Excellent ahi seared to perfection. Friendly place to go to with very good different meal choices.

This was walk-able from the Hotel Finlen. Outdoor and Indoor seating. Great food, both of our BBQ and my husbands Chicken Parmesan was great.

I've had onion rings all over the country and only one other place served onion rings as good; Touey's in San Marino, California. The owner actually knew the place and it all makes sense. The ahi was quite good; the service was friendly and efficient. It you get there at the wrong time, it can be a little slow. Locals... More

Food is excellent. Love the onion rings! Lot's of choices. I enjoy sitting outside weather permitting. Only thing I didn't care for - the accoustics. Inside restaurant can be loud.

We had read some of the reviews for this restaurant and noticed some of the reviews were negative. We decided to see for ourselves and glad we went to this restaurant. I ordered the Fred's Special which was linguini with marinara sauce, two skewers, one with fresh vegetables and one with steak cubes cooked perfectly. This meal was $12.95 which... More

The place has great chicken strips, burger, steak sandwiches, and fries. I don't think the expensive dinners are worth the price, but the casual food is great!

Attentive (but not overbearing) service along with really good-sized portions of food that were reasonable for the prices!!! Had the cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese. Was not pleased with the extra $2.25 charge for sauteed onions.......but all-in-all, four circles and a good recommendation for this place!!

I love Fred's, my favorite place to eat in Butte. Cesar's salad is the best I have ever had. This is a great place if you are a low-carb eater. Shrimp is large and wild caught.

My family and I make Fred's one of the must-go places whenever we travel to Butte. Sometimes we'll travel to Butte just to go to Fred's! Their food is delicious, and their service has always been great as well. The atmosphere is cool and casual, as well as family-friendly. Definitely a gem in this old mining town.
