Great ambiance and location, great service! The bank vault was neat. The kids mac and cheese was fantastic. The rest of our food was just ok.

The original bank from the 1800's in Butte! The vault is still intact and you can sit in there and eat....fantastic photo opportunity! Very friendly and prompt service. More televisions and sports channels than any sports buff could dream of. Very lively bar scene....but the best part is the food. We were just passing through Butte on a road trip... More

Seated promptly a bit away from the bar and the large safe (take a peek in). Enjoyed the Chicken Saltimbocca with the wonderful sides of potatoes and vegetables - a full meal. Still had a bit of room for the Bread Pudding - good to the last spoonful.

We must have gotten a different server than a lot of the previous reviewers. Our waiter was not very attentive. We sat there for quite awhile before he even came to our table (Sunday night, not very busy, lots of open tables), took forever to get our drinks. When we were nearing finishing our meals, he dropped the check off... More

We stayed in Butte for one night and the WNBA final championship game was on. Reception in the hotel wasn't great so we walked a couple blocks to Metals. We were able to pick a good table and my buffalo burger was great. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Restaurant is in a cool historic building.

We drove around until we saw this place and was so glad we stopped! The menu was large, and we will need to go back to try more on it! 20 beers on tap, football on the TV, and a great waitress that was helpful with the beer selection and menu. Will return again!

We were just traveling thru Butte when we decided to drive downtown to find a local place to eat. Metals got our attention because of the building, a former bank. The service was excellent, food was great, and don't forget dessert! The bread pudding was awesome! We love finding local gems, and this one was great.

First, the food surprised us--so good. We had salads, which were large and tasty. Our server, Alice, helped us choose excellent ingredient/dressing combinations. Also liked the Ahi appetizer and creme brulee. Go for the food and/or the many TVs. You won't miss the game. The place was very busy, so we sat at the bar, which was a little challenging... More

A friend recommended Metals and I'm glad we ate there. The restaurant is in the old Metals Bank Building and the setting is pretty cool. Huge windows overlook the streetscape. The teller counter/window have been converted to a bar. The old vault has been incorporated into the seating area. Montana sports legends are commemorated in both photos and menu items.... More
