Since the road trip we were on followed in much part the historic Route 66 and since this diner is apparently part of that history it was a must for at least one meal. We took our grandson who just graduated the Army Military Police at Ft. Leonard Wood to this awesome diner for breakfast after graduation. He just loved it as we did. awesome food very clean & fast friendly service.. We prefer to dine in non chain restaurants while traveling and thus we stopped here for lunch. The decor was fun. The food good. There should have been more help in the kitchen. Should have known better when pulling into drive that when only 3 cars are there probably should pick another place to eat. Instead thought well it is a local place so let's give it a shot. After a long day of flying we where looking for a relaxed place for dinner. The 66 dinner was only a couple of minutes form the hotel. It was clean, friendly and just what we where looking for. Wonderful lunch of burgers and shakes like a diner in the 50s!!! Great atmosphere and wonderfully tasty homemade milkshakes!!! A must have if you love shakes or malts!!!!
