Get a group of family or friends or neighbors and head to Aya Sofia on Chippewa, diagonally across the street from Ted Drewes. The brunch is fresh, delicious, and you will return time and time again. See you there next Sunday??

I love the food and the different Mediterranean choices at Aya Sofia. Their fish is to die for, and the atmosphere is very romantic and laid back.

Atmosphere was lovely. Menu well-balanced, thoughtful, non-frivolous and a fine introduction to Turkish and near-Turkish fare. Food was just what it should be, from appetizers to the main course. Nice table settings. Comfortable. But the overly familiar wait person was too familiar, mouthy (without seeming...More

I went with a Turkish friend of mine. Overall he approved the dishes as being fairly authentic. The only things we did not like were the outside plastic tables, which felt cheap, and our server, who had no clue at all (he said he was...More

Our server was excellent! We enjoyed the Chef's special appetizer, a hot, spinach cheese mix with just a hint of heat. It was served with homemade bread which was excellent. I had the lunch special Chicken Kabob served with humus, rice pilaf, and tabouli. The portions...More

Description
Aya Sofia, St. Louis’ only Turkish restaurant, opened in October 2005 by Turkish Chef Mehmet Yildiz and designer Alicia Aboussie. Our outstanding Turkish cuisine is delicious, fresh, and healthy. We serve lamb, beef, chicken and seafood. Aya Sofia offers a large variety of cold and hot meze (small plates) that are intended to be shared and will complement any of our entrees. Afiyet Olsun (Enjoy your meal)! Aya Sofia has a romantic luxurious atmosphere combined with excellent upscale service and warm Turkish hospitality.
