We decided to try this "great little place" that I had read reviews about and with all the great reviews I thought how could we go wrong. When we walked up to the front of the restaurant we did not see anyone inside and we thought "this is not going to be good." We walked it and the restaurant has... More

Maybe it was the evening we chose as we were the only ones in the restaurant at that time. The service was very good and we got right into it with the queso dip, which was tasty. The salsa is made from chunks of tomato which, when they are in season, is probably fantastic. It had good flavor but tomatoes... More

Dinner before a show was fantastic! The service was excellent for our party of 6. The food was eclectic and well presented. Beef brisket enchilada had chunks of rich meat and flavorful cheese. The decor highlighted local artists. My only regret was that the margarita was not better--a bit watery! All in all I would return again!

We liked it so much we had a small wedding reception there. The management opened the restaurant for us when they are normally closed. Awesome!!

Don't go here expecting this to be a Mexican restaurant. It's a pan-Latin restaurant with dishes from Cuba, Mexico, and many Latin American countries. The food is excellently prepared. I had fish tacos that were some of the best I have ever eaten.

My husband and I dined here last week. Although, it sounds like a Mexican restaurant, it actually has food from many different countries. My husband had the puerco con cafe y chile maron (a cuban pork loin dish) and I had the pollo en peplan dulce (a guatemalen chicken dish). Both dishes were fantastic! Our waiter was quite attentive and... More

We love many area Mexican restaurants and the various types of them. The staff was very nice but elusive and somewhat disorganized, and they rushed us. The establishment is very nice but our table for four was tiny. The margaritas were tasty but the house selection was very weak if it contained any, liquor. You should not have to upgrade... More

We were in Clayton and wanted a spot for lunch a little off the beaten path. We had dinner here several years ago and were very pleased but hadn't gotten back. The restaurant is pretty small so if you are going at peak times a reservation would be in order. The luncheon menu was considerably abbreviated from what shows on... More

Despite a few new staff problems (no ice cream for the Sopapilla that night because the freezer door was not closed,) it was heartening to see the Maya Cafe (best Pan-Latin restaurant in my 60+ years,) open and serving great food and great drinks with great service. The menu is currently smaller, (culled some weak sellers per the staff,) but... More

They were dark last Friday 1/23/15 I assume they are out of business. We were trying to use a $10 gift card towards our dinner but the place was closed. Too bad we like Mexican.
