Enjoying right now.. Amazingly authentic Chicago style pizza in a neighborhood dive. Booths, tables and bar; no reservations, no wait staff. Order at the bar and they bring it out. Will be back...

Chicago style pizza, beer, video games and shuffleboard, that's Black Thorn Pub. Their garlic cheesebread is delicious with melting cheese and the right amount of garlic. (I cannot eat their pizza due to the sauce, it's too spicy for me.) The place is definitely a good hang out for locals and college kids. The tables are large enough for groups... More

This place looks a bit run down, both inside and out, but you will not be disappointed with the food. Their Chicago style deep dish pizza is to die for.

Yes, of course you have to wait for your food. It's deep dish. Just drink some beer and watch the game while you wait. And let me tell you, it's the sauce that makes it the best. If you can't handle a little kick, you might not care for it, but we think it's the bomb. We also love the... More

A hole in the wall Bar that has Awesome pizza. We LOVE their Everything, Chicago style pizza. Expect to wait 1 Hour at minimum for your pizza. That is if they are not busy. They only have one large pizza oven that can hold I think 3-6 pizzas depending on the size and type of pizza. The Chicago is thick... More

Yes, it's a neighborhood corner pub, and the decor, such as it is, reflects the young clientele. But if you're willing to wait for it, you'll get the best deep-dish pizza in St. Louis.

This little neighborhood pub is very small and very crowded. You have to wait quite a while to get a pizza but it is well worth the wait. Deep dish with all the makings of a great pie. It's not your regular St. Louis Pizza. I have only been on a weekend so I am not sure if the wait... More

Had to wait 3 hours for one medium pizza. Had to watch everyone else get their pizza before us. They forgot to make our pizza but didn't forget to take the tip we left them when we paid ahead of time. Never going back

When some friends heard we were going to St.Louis for a couple days, they suggested pizza at Black Thorn Pub. We went on a Friday evening. The sign says they don't open until 5, but they unlocked the door about 4:45. We ordered Chicago style "any or all". It took about 45 minutes to get the pizza. After seeing how... More

I love their deep dish Chicago style, you have to try it. My favorite is pepperoni and sausage. It takes a while to cook so order before going.
