We dined at Elaia, and although our meal was enjoyable, it seemed to be missing something for the price. We are used prix fixe dining so we aren't expecting large portions at this price, but the food overall did not wow us. We did dine in rather late so we aren't sure if this was the reason for the food... More

There were six of us for dinner at Elaia so we got to sample just about everything on the menu including the optional charcuterie and cheese plate as additions to the prix fixe. As two of us were virtually non-drinkers whereas two were aspiring connoisseurs, the sommelier recommended a $120 Rioja, which turned out to be the highlight of the... More

We stopped in for a late lunch and despite the hour, there were a few people at the bar. We ordered the Hummus with Lamb, Chicken Tagine and Roasted Cauliflower. All was flawless, perfectly spiced and cooked and presented beautifully. Our server was great too, after we ordered he brought us each a glass of spiced warmed wine that was... More

We've been to Elaia but have been wanting to try Olio for a long time. We went for dinner on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. We ordered the Hummus with braised lamb, the Chicken Tagine and the Kale salad special. The kale salad was mixed lightly with chile flakes, tossed with a umami packed anchovy dressing, and... More

Cool atmosphere; it had a hipster vibe. They have revamped an old car garage to a nice restaurant. Their food and drink selection was of a good size.

When in St. Louis recently for a reunion we ended up at Olio's because the restaurant across the street could not accommodate our large group. What a blessing that was! The food was absolutely wonderful, presentation as well as taste. Our wait staff did a great job handling all of us, spread out at several tables. Everything that we ordered... More

We dined at Elaia during our short visit to St. Louis over the Labor Day weekend. This was our first time at the restaurant. The restaurant is located in a slightly iffy neighborhood, but it seems this neighborhood is in the process of gentrification. We had to find street parking, which was not hard for an early evening dinner on... More

We went out to celebrate a friend's birthday & this ended up being PERFECT. The patio is SO cozy & cute & the food was top notch! I'm not a fan of Mediterranean typically, but the egg salad was DELICIOUS, the King of Kings hummus was obviously good, & the chicken meatballs were great! Our waiter also suggested some really... Olio is one of the best restaurants in St. Louis. The bar also makes delicious artisanal cocktails that pair with the food.

This is our go to spot after walking the Missouri Botanical Garden. It's casual, close and many dishes are unique. The star today was a "special" Roasted Fennel Salad. Depth of flavors, texture and thoroughly enjoyable. Would love for this to be on the fixed menu. . Egg Salad is delicate & light. Chicken Meatballs were tasty served on a... More
