We were looking for a quick lunch in the middle of our visit to City Museum. Caruso's was a short two block walk and the food was excellent. I had the Italian panini. Wow the bread was so fresh and the flavors outstanding. My husband had the turkey avocado sandwich and the kids had peanut butter. They all enjoyed their... More

We ate lunch here before heading to the City Museum. We only had to park once, but that is the only advantage to eating here. It's not very clean. The food is average. The bread was tough, the kids didn't like their grilled cheese and the soup was just soup. It's not bad food. I could eat here again, but... More

My daughter and I, on a magical daddy-daughter-date-day, needed a hearty lunch after wrangling every nook and cranny at the City Museum. We wanted a local place, and boy did we score. First, it's all family here (and family friends). The menu is staggering, and from what we tasted and what I had read from others, there's no weaknesses. These... More

My visit was at 8am for breakfast - I ordered the 2 eggs/bread / potato: English muffin tasted as if frozen, eggs were over easy - done perfect but not hot , and potatoes were barely warm. Great atmosphere and clean. I was only customer.wait staff nice.

We found Caruso's Deli while taking a lunch break from the City Museum. We wanted good sandwiches and a place with a more "local" feel, and we got exactly what we were looking for! It's a small storefront, but has an amazing selection of sandwiches, and I wish we could have gone several times to try more! Very nice employees... More

I have nothing but good compliments for this Deli. I have personally emailed the owner of the Deli and he is one of the most positive members of the restaurant industry in St. Louis. I tell everyone about this place. They have a Traditional Gyro that is above and beyond the call of food. Its so big I can't even... More

I had the blackened chicken flatbread sandwich (just enough spice with perfect chipotle mayo) and my boy had a basic ham and cheese (smooth and smokey ham on moist homemade bread). What the place lacks for atmosphere (want to buy the mirror off the wall for $35?), it totally makes up for with tremendous food! Great for a quick, inexpensive... More

I wanted an Italian style sandwich. This was a great choice although they have any kind of sandwich you can imagine. Also local family owned. Very nice people. So glad we stopped here.

We came for lunch during a day at the City Museum with our 4 kids. The staff were so eager to help us choose something the kids would love. My (picky) son got an exceptional gourmet peanut butter and jelly. My daughter had a turkey tailored just for her. My husband and I both had huge amazing picks from the... More

I had the opportunity to eat here a few times during a business trip to St Louis. I was impressed with the quality of the menu, lots of great sandwich and salad options, and vegetarian options that worked for me. Great coffee, fantastically huge cookies and a pretty sweet salad bar. The staff is very friendly, the price was right... More
