My family and I went to the restaurant and my husband was I ordered a platter for two. We asked the manager Ryno if we could have hake instead of the line fish. He rejected our request even though we told him at other restaurants...they give us the request. He said we will have to pay extra which really disturbed me because no other John Dorys or Ocean basket ever declined us. My husband and I went back to John Dorys Cenury City last Saturday. We had the sunset platter and the rockfish special which was over cooked. We told our waiter she then called the manager Thembi he gave us the option of hake or line fish. My husband and I then realized that the first manager was actually rasict. Not giving us good customer service the fist visit.More

Excellent food and a polite waiter. I loved the experience but loved the food way more, perfect seafood.

Good service with a smile and fresh as it can be....no mess up with orders and the waiter was excellent...I guess that is the Cape Town thing....very friendly people. Overall enjoyed our meal and the attitude was most welcoming....

We always enjoy eating here...the service is excellent...the food never disappoints. Thank you John Dorys... for makeing it a pleasure to eat there.

My wife and myself felt like having fish and sushi for lunch, I suggested that we go to John Dory's. When we arrived and looked at the menu boards advertising specials they were offering a special on the sushi a Platter for R99.00 and on...a separate board they offered 3 specials for Hake and chips and a soda call i and collect. We decided to we would eat there and I said to the waiter I will have the middle fish offer and then I will have sushi and a bottle of wine, my wife just wanted the sushi and we ordered a draft beer each, the waiter came back to say they could not let me have the fish special as it was for take aways only. I asked him to call the manager who told me in not such a friendly way that this was for take aways only, I than went to the board and asked him to show me where it said for take aways only. He just refused point blank saying I could not have the fish special. I cancelled the wine and my sushi and shared my wife's suchi, we finished our beer and left, please note there were many empty tables, and this restaurant can well afford to turn away business, further more I do believe that the manager's manners were not what one would expect from a large group of eateries.More

They had Sushi specials on the night we went. They have many specials throughout the week. Good prices and portions are quite big and yummi food

4 adults and an 8yo visited for lunch on a Sunday.PLeasant interior but tables quite close together and kids eat for free SUndays so lots of tots and proms in the aisles.THis is a chain restaurant situated in a large shopping mall and the food...and service were typical of such establishments.MY dish was a platter of seafood with mussels,prawns calamari and linefish of the day served with rice or chips and with a white wine sauce.It was ok but no more and price and service was satisfactory but there was a. Lara hint of canteen eating with so much noise from shouting and crying kids.Not my scene and won’t revisit.More
