After living in Cape Town nearly 6 months, I’ve been shocked at how good the steak is here. Id never had a bad steak, until i tried knife. I went here with four colleagues and while the ambience and service was up to par, its...hard to give a steakhouse a good review if they cant cook a steak. I ordered the 500g bone in rib eye medium rare, and it arrived medium well at best, but mostly well done. After most of the table had finished, the manager finally came over to see if everything was ok. She noticed i hadn’t eaten my steak and i simply commented that it was way too overdone and dry. I wasn’t going to wait another 30 minutes and have the entire table wait for me to get a new steak, but overall just avoid this place. As the title says, this is my first bad steak in cape town, plenty of other options. The steak was so far above medium rare i couldnt eat more than a few bites.More
