This establishment has become a regular venue for me, especially in these hard times of the pandemic and whilst the restaurant of the Oasis retirement resort remains closed. Peaceful and relaxing..lots of outdoor seating, good vibes and pleasant atmosphere. I have eaten an excellent breakfast...here on a few occasions and also very good light lunch.More
Walked in with a friend for a snack and drinks. Jamal(not sure if it's correct)helped us. Service was great and food was fantastic. Chicken livers were fantastic. We will be back.
The food was ok. When the bill arrived, I added the tip and walked down to pay because we waited some time, but the waiter did not return with the card machine . I paid my portion and when my already friend paid, suddenly something...was not on the bill and it had to be paid separately. So be careful. The waiters are slack and don’t put everything on the bill and then suddenly react after the bill that was printed was paid. Food ok, service less impressiveMore
We visited this restaurant situated in Century City for a light supper one evening. We were greeted and served by a very friendly and lively young waitress. We enjoyed a sandwich and a burger. The toasted sandwich was filled to capacity with a basil pesto...and chicken mayonnaise. The filling was fresh with the flavours working well together. This was accompanied by a choice of a side salad. All the ingredients were fresh and the addition of finely chopped red onion lifted the dimensions of what would have been a standard salad. The vegetarian burger, consisting of a chickpea, mushroom and red pepper patty served on toasted bun, with a coriander cream cheese topping was delicious. All the ingredients worked well together. This was accompanied by a choice of grilled vegetables, which was equally fresh and prepared to perfection.More
I was at Brick Lane with a bunch of friends. Ordered the snack basket and was very disappointed in the portion size. R90 for 8 chicken strips (not very well made), 2 peppadew poppers, a handful of fries and 2 tiny chicken wings was not...worth the price at all. Half of my meal was also cold when it arrived. I would suggest that you relook at what you offer your customers in relation to what you are charging.More
After waiting more that 30 minutes, in a restaurant that was not even half full, for 3 simple breakfasts they eventually arrived cold...my bacon, eggs and accompaniment were all cold, my wifes Egg Benedict had cold congealed sauce on it and poached eggs were cold.......This is our second visit and on both occasions something has not been right.More
We had a great evening at this stunning venue in Century City. The food and service was top class as usual , the salmon salad was awesome according to the ladies at our table. The chicken stack I had was perfect and the flatbread was...given a thumbs up. Chris Rain entertained on guitar and the atmosphere was rocking , well worth visiting on Thursday night music evenings. A bottle of Peaks View pinotage was a perfect accompaniment.More
This was our first visit to the Brick Lane Eatery and we were very impressed. The burgers were perfectly cooked with a tasty sesame seed toasted bun. The sweet potatoes and salad were also both very good. Its a great location alongside the picturesque canal....We enjoyed the live music which is a regular feature on a Thursday. This hidden gem in Century City is one of our favourite spots. Chantel and Mae are such welcoming hosts and the chilled vibe is always amazing. Bricklane is the best kept secret in Cape Town. Tucked away on the canals in Century City this little restaurant maintains a really high standard of food and service.
